Chapter 41

After a bit of back and forth between the girl and her Sensei, without any explanation, he started leading them to a new place. The two kept asking him where they were headed but his smirk was his only reply.

Along with the constantly poking their father figure, Y/N and Yuji goofed and played around, talking about nothing but nonsense. Unsurprisingly, their Sensei too was involved in some of them, his replies leaving the two students in thought and fascination.

After walking for 30 minutes, Gojo finally stopped at an abandoned building. He looked up at the building with his hands in his pockets and the usual grin on his face while
Y/N and Yuji looked up at the building, their expression bewildered.

The building's roof was high enough for it to look like it was touching the sky from where they stood. The building's exterior was covered with ivy, moss and long vines that slithered down the pillars. The mysterious building had cracks on the wall, indicating that there wasn't any habitat in there for years.

"We are here. Now, you two just do as I say and surely your friends will be shocked, crying and laughing,"

"Are they in there?" they looked at their Sensei and exclaimed simultaneously.

"No, but they will be here soon," Gojo said cockily.

Gojo opened the door, which made a loud sound and walked in the abandoned building without looking back at the two, he knew they would follow him like two eager kids following their mom after her arrival to pick them up from school.

As they stepped in, the inside was a slightly contrasting to the outdoor. It was definitely much darker but not too spooky. The floor was covered in a thick layer of dust.

In the front there was a large staircase leading upstairs, while the right side had furniture like broken and webbed cupboards, in fact a lot of furniture had webs on it, half of them being broken.

To the left there were 3 entrances leading to different rooms one of it being the kitchen; was visible from the entrance. As she looked up the stairs, she saw that the railing was now rusted and slightly bent in places. Rays of sunlight filtered through dirty, cracked windows, casting a slight glow on the furniture inside.

After climbing the stairs, Gojo opened a minutely broken door, leading them into the room, he stopped. Y/N and Yuji kept their eyes on their Sensei's back until he suddenly turned around. He put his hand up in the front and his index finger pointed at the ceiling.

"Now you two will wait here, I will bring Megumi and Nobara, saying that they need to exorcise a curse here," he explained.

Gojo suddenly pulled a small hourglass. It wasn't filled with sand, but with something blue floating in its insides.

"This hourglass is filled with a good amount of cursed energy, to hide your presence, especially you, Yuji."

"I'll place it over here to lure the two in and when they do you guys surprise them by booing!" Gojo added as his not visible eyes shined with sparkles.

Yuji's eyes lit up, his expression a mix of excitement and eagerness.

"Sensei Sensei! That is an amazing idea!! The look on their faces, can't wait to see it!!" he exclaimed as his eyes stayed on his Sensei, but his mind filled with the scene of their two friend's frightened and perplexed expressions.

Meanwhile, before Y/N could exclaim her excitement and be more than eager to meet her friends after so long, a pang of realization hit her.

She's gonna be Yuji, alone.

The thought made her feel uneasy. A mix of emotions started to engulfing her. She had experienced this more than enough times, more than her liking. Every time a disaster for her emotional health. The fear and uneasiness caused by The King was evident on her face.
