215: Goodbye

You sat there, watching as the aftermath of the blast from your cursed technique, the one you had fired to break Satoru out, slowly travelled back. Snowflakes floating through the air as an extreme cold made its way to you.

You looked at your hands, trying to sense any cursed energy... And there was none. Which meant that it was now virtually impossible to move through the gates and return back home.

So... you had accepted it. Unless some person came in and helped you.

Your fate... was in front of your very eyes. You'd be stuck here, a prisoner.

Satoru now stared at the mirror, the remnants of it. You had broken him out... but at what cost? Could you even return with the mirror being broken? He bit his cheek, beginning to try and figure out how to piece the mirror back. But could you put together a puzzle with the ashes of its pieces?

"SHIT!" He yelled, hitting a nearby wall. "WHY DID IT BREAK!?" Shoko stood to the side, flinching, as well as all his students, watching their teacher filled with rage for the first time.

"WHY HER!?" He panted, standing up, rushing over to the library of old Jujutsu books, grabbing any that he could find on The Archive of Souls. "It could've been anyone but her... Not her, not her, damnit!" He said as he flipped through pages, he could not lose you. Especially when you risked your life to save him.

You were his wife! How was he supposed to live without you? He needed you.

You were his wife.

"I need her." He said through gritted teeth, his brows furrowed as he continued to go through pages and pages of information, not that there was much to use anyway. "Y/N... I need her, I need her... Damn!" He groaned, moving his hands to hold his head, trying to think of some plan. Any plan.

He was usually so quick on his feet, witty, intelligent... but when it came to you, he was stumped.

He couldn't lose you. He just couldn't. There was a promise, and you kept your end, so it was time for him to keep his. He had to save his wife.

You sat on the floor, surrounded by remnants of the blast of cursed energy you had let out, imposing ice structures filled the space.

With a sigh, you ran your hands through your hair, looking down at the ground. You felt helpless, weak. You had been robbed of all your strength... of your identity, and now... you felt empty. It was like cutting off the hands of a surgeon, like like stripping the stars from the night sky —leaving behind only a hollow, endless void where brilliance once thrived.

You looked back ahead at the cold travelling back.

At least Satoru was free.

You chuckled, shaking your head, this was ironic. You went inside this realm to free Satoru, and the cost for his freedom was yours. Like an exchange.

Except, you weren't sure if it was possible to get you out of this realm.

You laid back on the ground, staring up at the stars, the structures of ice still visible from your peripheral, a reminder of what you had lost. You had no thoughts but at the same time were flooded with them, you didn't know what to do, but your brain was running through all different types of scenarios. What could you do, or what could someone from the outside do, to free you?

But one question kept popping up in your mind. You had infinite cursed energy. How could all of it disappear from one huge blast? It made no sense. It's infinite!
