Jonathan showed me the directions to his house. It was a fairly nice two story house, not too big but not too small. It had a small garden that ran under the windows of the first floor.

I parked my car in his driveway, getting out. He unlocked the front door, with the key that he took out from under his door mat, the most predictable place.

He led me through his house, ending in the living room.

"My Mom should be home in about thirty minutes, my Dad will be home in an hour, I think. We can try to work until then." He told me, taking a seat on one of the couches. I followed his lead, and sat next to him.

I took out my English book from my bag and set it in between us, flipping to the page that we were in today.

"Didn't you say that you needed help with Science?" Jonathan asked.

"Oh, uh, I'm not sure. I need help in all subjects." I lied.

"Oh okay, well, I guess we an start with English." He said. "What do you need help with?"

"Who's this Edgar Allan Poetry guy?" I asked.

"Edgar Allan Poe?" He laughed.

"Same thing." I shrugged.

"He was known for making dark poetry." He told me.

"So what's up with all this Tell Tale Heart stuff?"

"Now, that's a story to tell."

After Jonathan explained the complicated short story, The Tell Tale Heart, I finally understood.

"So it was hidden in the floor?" I asked, referring to the mans heart that was beating in the story.

"Exactly." Jonathan smiled signaling that he was happy that I actually understood.

"Jonathan? Are you home?" A female voice yelled from the front door.

"Yeah, Mom. I'm in here." He yelled back. His Mother walked into the living room, where we were at.

"Who's this?" She smiled at me.

"I'm Hadley." I smiled back.

"Daven?" She questioned.

"Yeah! Do you know my Father?" I asked her.

"Yes, a very nice man. He built the mini mall, correct?"

"He designed it, but yes he did." She seemed very nice.

"Are you staying for dinner?"

"Um, no, actually Jonathan is just tutoring me for a while. I really should be getting home now." I said, standing up and looking form her to Jonathan.

"Thanks, Jonathan. You really helped me tonight." I said to him.

"No problem, you wanna come back next week-"

"How about tomorrow?" His Mom interjected.

"Mom." Jonathan whined.

"I actually have to go shopping with my cousin tomorrow, but I'm free Monday." I told her.

"Sounds great, I'll see you then."

"Mom, you act like you're tutoring her." He said.

"Okay, sorry. He'll see you Monday." She changed it.

"Okay, I'll see you then. Bye Jonathan, bye Mrs. Brandis." I waved.

"Please, call me Mary. Goodbye." She waved back.

Jonathan walked me out saying goodbye as I left.

This plan is working perfectly.
