"Aap sach keh rahi hai?" (Are you saying the truth)
His eyes were holding the shock and the surprise.
Did he hear it correctly? Did she agree to stay with him near his mother?
It was unexpected as well as a miracle for him. He was waiting for this for a long time.
"Why would I lie to you?"
Varshini countered.
"Umm, I thought_"
Devadriptya couldn't complete his words.
What would he say? That he was waiting for this day only? Wouldn't he look like a desperate man?
"Where are you lost?"
She asked.
He so wanted to say 'In you'. But right now, he needed to calm his horses down.
"And the image about you are talking, I was going to delete it from my account that day. I wasn't watching it or saving it. But you came and I got busy. I deleted it afterwards"
She clarified.
Her words managed to put icy cold water on his burning heart. He still didn't come out of the shock, he got out of sudden but now, he could at least sleep at night.
"Hum tabh se ye bat kehne ki koshish kar rahe hai. Lekin aap hai ki, sun hi nahi rahe the. Apne man se hi bole ja rahe the aur kuch bhi soche ja rahe the" (I was trying to tell this from long but you weren't listening to my words for once. You were talking and thinking on your own)
A miniscule smile played on the corner of his lips which he didn't show.
She would stay with him forever that was enough for him to die out of happiness. He wasn't a person who could show his emotions openly be it happiness or sadness but today nothing could stop him.
His heart was beating so fast that he could hear it clearly. His mind was blank for a moment. Finally, the moment came when he accepted her.
He hardly tried to keep the cold and neutral face but it looked like the constant smile on his face was betraying him. He didn't want to look like a fool or a stupid teenage boy who just got accepted by his crush.
Varshini observed his expressions carefully.
'Is he smiling?'
A thought crossed her mind.
She had never seen him smiling before or doing any movements of laughter. He was always so straight forward with his words.
His face always screamed a dark aura around him. Sometimes, she really felt he came from a different planet.
