Chapter 8

Kai's POV

"Daddy wake up you said yesterday we could bake." Luce said running into my room.

"Shh, you don't want to wake up your dad, he had a hard day at work yesterday." I whispered getting out of my bed and jumping around when the cold floor touched my feet.

"Your silly daddy." She laughed.

"I still love you." Seth laughed stretching his arms above his head.

"Aww." Luce cooed as he reached over and grabbed my waist and pulled me down to him and gave me a peck on the lips.

"How was school?" He asked me.

"Um, well I came home early and watched a movie with James." I muttered looking at the floor. "Oh and Dom threatened Luca."

"What did he do?"

"He told me to fuck off and then Dom went mental at him." I replied.

"Daddy why doesn't Luca talk to me anymore. Does he hate me?" Luce asked before starting to cry.

"Hey shh, he doesn't hate you, he just doesn't realise how lucky he is to have you as a little sister." Seth hugged her and wiped her tears away.

"Do you think if I make him cupcakes he'll talk to me again?" She asked us.

"I don't know, how about we try." I told her taking her arm and pulling her downstairs.

In the kitchen I got all the ingredients out and found a cook book with a recipe in it.

"Okay, so are we making normal cupcakes or strawberry ones?" I asked her.

"Strawberry ones, they are his favourite and because they are tasty like that."

"Okay, can you quarter these strawberries then?" I handed her the punnet and she started cutting them.

"Okay butter and sugar in the bowl and mix till they change colour. Ugh that takes too much energy. Seth." I shouted to my mate.

"Yes?" He asked running into the kitchen.

"Mix the butter and sugar for me please?" I poured and added puppy dog eyes.

"Fine I'll help you." He muttered standing his chest on my back and reaching his arms around me to mix the butter and sugar.

"Are they ready yet?" Luce asked me for the tenth time since I put them in the oven.

"No. They'll be ready soon." I told her smoothing down her hair.

"And then we can make strawberry icing?"

"Yes we can." I told her turning up the stereo which just so happened to be playing Pink Floyd's Another brick in the wall.

"Oh yes my darling that was amazing." I clapped for her.

"Why thank you, thank you." She smiled bowing.

"You are very welcome my darling." I told her smiling before scooping her up into my arms and spinning her around.

She giggles before slapping my arm and asking me to let her down.

"Okay, but only because the timer just rang." I told her.

"Does that mean we get to make the icing?"

"Soon, we need to wait for the cakes to cool." I told her pulling them out of the oven.

"Ugh fine." She huffed.

"I'm back bitches." Seth shouted walking into the kitchen followed by Kian.

"Language." I scolded him.

"Is this Shinedown?" Kian asked pointing to the stereo.

"Duh." I smirked.

"Turn it up turn it up." He chanted.

"Fine." I laughed turning it up as Kian and I started singing along.
