Cow and Chicken

this was honestly one of my favorite shows

Okay, let me start out by pointing out the obvious. Firstly, apart from the Weird metrosexual devil with an astounding mastery of condescendence and sarcasm, the only main characters who aren't human are Cow and Chicken themselves. Secondly, the parents, though their animal "children" are constantly getting into predicaments that, in most American households, would have them in a constant state of being grounded (as well as a few much-needed ass whippings), Seem suspiciously level-headed and in excellent moods when talking to their kids. Thirdly, The show makes a point to over annunciate the fact that Chicken's father is very proud of him. In fact, the very beginning of the show's theme song states "Momma had a chicken, Momma had a Cow, DAD WAS PROUD, HE DIDN'T... CARE... HOW." With this information in mind, I submit that the television cartoon "Cow and Chicken", all takes place in Chicken's mind. In reality, Chicken is some unnamed bastard son of a broken home. His father is constantly putting him down, and is possibly abusing him. Under these circumstances, it is totally normal for an abused teenager to create a fantasy world in his head in order to escape the harshness of reality. Chicken's sister probably is actually a dim-witted, overweight, and emotionally needy girl due to her growing up in the same household, and so he chooses to envision her as a helpless, speech impeded bovine. Likewise, his subconscious is aware of the fact that, rather than face his own reality, he chooses to revert and cower into his fantasy world where he gets whatever he desires, and so he embodies himself as a chicken. Also, The condescending devil may represent every 3rd party adult that Chicken has encountered as a threat throughout his childhood such as, a school principal, a bank representative who foreclosed his parent's home, a divorce lawyer, or any other adult who has thrown a monkey wrench into this child's already depressing life.
