THE FIRST TOUCH!

"meri adhoori kahani

Lo dastaan ban gayi

Tune chhua aaj aise

Main kya se kya ban gayi

Sehme huey sapne mere haule-haule angdaiyaan le rahe
Thehre huey lamhe mere nayi-nayi gehraiyaan le rahe
Zindagi ne pehni hai muskaan
Karne lagi hai itna karam kyun na jaane

I reached home and had a small chit chat session with Amma and appa over dinner and retired to my room.Amma had already moved the bouquet to my room. I looked at the roses .They looked as fresh as they were in the morning .I sat near them recalling the day's events thinking how my life had changed in the previous two days.I was enjoying the adulation I was getting from everyone.

But somehow I was getting a bit restless.It had been 4 hours since I came back and there were no messages or calls from Manik. Call karu ke na karu.He must be busy with the meeting I thought but then it had been 4hours.He could atleast leave a message. My heart was aching to hear from him.

I was wondering what to do next when my phone rang.

My eyes lit up with joy but it wasn't him, it was Navya.

"Hi navya"I did sound low.

"Hi nandu,kya hua tum itni upset kyu lag rahi ho?hamein to laga ki tum bahut chehak rahi hogi par tumhari awaz se to lag raha hai ki tum bahut udaas ho."

Navya was one person I always relied on. She read the sorrow in my voice on phone.How could I lie to her.I had to share with her.

"kya hua Nandu, hamein batao" she spoke again

"Oh navya, am really upset ." and I told her how there had been no contact with Manik since past few hours .

"Arrey nandu don't worry,kaam me busy honge aur dekhna free hote hi call karenge"

"Nandu meri pyari nandu tum apni jagah sahi ho but ab unhe kya mushkil aayi hai ye to wo hi jaante hai.So ab jyada sochna chhodo aur apna mood theek karo kyuki kal college me Convocation hai aur hamein jana hai.yaad aaya kuchh?"

"Arrey haan Navya, main to bhool hi gayi thi.Kal to convocation hai aur mujhe to college me 1st aane ke liye certificate bhi milega.Vow ,I am so excited.Thx "

"gud night nandu,kal milte hai college me"

"gud night navya"

So right Navya was about me, I laughed as easily as I cried.Handle with care package...lol.

And obviously Manik must be really stuck up with something important so he didn't call.Aiyappa pls take care of him.I got up to get changed into night dress when my phone beeped

M:Slept?

N:no

M:thinking about me?

Aiyappa , how does he know?

N:I have better things to do!

I mocked.

M:Really!

N:Yeah

M:Ok then coming over right now to see what better things you do...other than thinking bout me

N:Manik , listen its too late...pls don't!

Aiyoo what is he upto.I immediately called him.
