A WALK TO REMEMBER

My phone buzzed early in the morning and I answered without

opening my eyes.

"Hello"

"hey princess, gud morning"the cheerful voice from other side said

It took me a few seconds to realize that it was Manik's call.I got up

with a jerk and opened my eyes wide.I looked at the clock as it

was 4am..I checked my phone screen to ensure that it was Manik

only.

"hello , u there?" he spoke again

"yeah, yeah am here only manik.What happened ?Are you

alright?I mean manik its 4am!"I asked in a genuinely worried tone.

"calm down ! calm down! I am absolutely alright.I just called up to

tell you that am coming to pick you up for a morning walk . So get

ready!"

"What! Morning walk but Ma..."

"No excuses. Be ready in 30 mins" and he disconnected.

Now what is this new side of Monster Manik Aiyappa .Morning

walk , like seriously.

Anyhow I knew there was no escape to this so I got ready and told

amma and appa about "the morning walk"

In exactly 35minutes he arrived.

"Hi"I said as he came and opened the car's door for me

"ache se hi bolo na" He said hugging me.

"Manik ,tum bhi na kahin bhi shuru ho jate ho"I blushed as

usual.

"arrey , morning dose hai" he replied as if its his birth right.

"Achha , where are we going?"I asked as he took his seat after

" the dose" and started driving.

"Beach side for a walk, I wanna show you something" he replied

"Sounds interesting!" I replied cheerfully" But don't you think its

too early , like abhi sunrise bhi nahi hua?"

"Trust me" he said "Its gonna be a walk to remember!"

It took us a few minutes to reach there wherein we talked about a

few general things.He halted the car on the roadside.

"Come fast " he said pulling me out of the car "its time!"

"time for what"now I was really getting curious.

"Chalo to" he said as we walked on an abandoned beach in wee

hours of the morning.

The beach was so soft, it felt like we were walking on a blanket of candy floss.We walked for few minutes.It was calm and serene all around.
