Months had passed since they resolved the demon problem and things went back to normal, mostly. Dipper was back to mystery hunting, Mabel had her own bed again, but she wasn't as happy as she used to be.

The incident had crippled her emotions. She had loved the child. Now that child was ready to kill them at any provocation.

He didn't remember them. It was shown throughout their next encounters with him. He had possessed his male caretaker and injured him, showing no signs of remorse.

"He's bad news, Mabel," her brother said to his sobbing sister, "he will never change, whether he remembers or not." "I want him back, though, the way he was before! I know that he's always there but, I miss him." "I know, Mabel. I do too."

It was true. Even though he was possessed and badly injured by the demon, he wanted him to remember. He didn't care if he was an adult again. He missed the child that they had taken care of for those couple weeks.

There was a ding as the doorbell rang.

"I'll get it," Mabel said, glumly as she walked to the door. She opened it slowly and looked out.

There, on their porch, stood a boy with blonde, almost yellow hair. One of his eyes was covered by his bangs and he was wearing a formal, yellow vest adorned with a black top hat and bow tie. The things that stood out on him, though, were a faint yellow glow emitting off of him and his eyes that had large, slit pupils and weren't white, but a faint yellow.

"Hi, Mabel," he said guiltily.

Mabel's eyes widened and teared up as she grabbed the door handle. She was about to slam the door when Bill waved his hands in a "No, stop!" motion.

"Wait! Wait, I'm not here to cause trouble!" He said, grabbing the door. "I-I'm here to-," "Mabel, who's at the door?" "Hold on, Dipper!" She looked back at the blonde. "I'm sorry," he said, looking at the ground sadly. "I-I didn't know that-" but before he could finish, Mabel wrapped her arms around him in a hug, tears streaming from her eyes. "I th-thought you h-had forgotten!" She said, her voice shaking. He hugged her back, closing his eyes as tears streamed down his cheeks. "Oh, Mabel,"

"How could I ever forget?"
