Request: They fight and break up, she moves away and when she comes back she realizes he's really broken about it and they get back together.

Your head was a mess of twisted words snide remarks, wide and teary eyes glancing around at your surroundings but never staying on one spot for too long. Your hands were clenched into fists, resting by your side as you rested against the wall of your lounge room.

Stiles was sitting on the couch, elbows propped on his knees while his face was buried in his hands. Everything was silent, this differing from what it was like only moments ago.

The two of you were shouting at each other, throwing words around as if they meant nothing. Except they did. Every word that passed Stiles' lips stung. Like a needle piercing your skin, you felt the ping of pain.

Contrary wise, Stiles couldn't believe some of the words that you had shouted in your rage. You were such a gentle person, and to see that other side of you was a new thing to Stiles, and it wasn't something he ever wanted to see again.

Fighting had become something all too familiar, all too common, between the two of you. It was usually silly things, something that could probably be resolved once the two of you cooled down, but not this time.

Ever since Malia moved to Beacon Hills you've watched as Stiles grew closer and closer to her. You watched on as they laughed along with each other in class, sharing snacks during lunch breaks. You had finally had enough, and after confronting Stiles about it all he began the shouting.

You let out a shaky breath, eyes trailing over to Stiles and letting them rest there. He'd removed his head from his hands, but it was still dropped and looking down at the ground.

Suddenly, he broke the silence.

"If you could be anywhere in the world, where would you want to be?"

The question caught you off guard, had you furrowing your eyebrows at the boy. This had nothing to do with the situation?

You took a moment to think about it before truthfully answering, "Anywhere but here."

He finally looked up, dull brown eyes locking with yours. They were red-rimmed, so sad looking, and it almost made you want to take back all those awful things you had said earlier. Almost.

Your hands were shaking at this point, heart racing, but there wasn't any other choice. You needed to get out of this suffocating room, out of this suffocating town for a while.

You headed toward the front door, glancing back at the boy you loved one last time, "Goodbye, Stiles."

With that, your feet carried you out into the cool midday air, and further and further away from someone who used to mean so much to you.

* * *

Its been three months.

Three whole months away from Beacon Hills, away from Stiles, and today you were finally back.

Being away was good for you. It gave you time to think, to recover. You hadn't heard a word from Stiles since you left, and in the three month silence you finally feel as though you had gotten over him and everything the two of you used to be.

Walking the all too familiar streets, you moved with your head down, watching your feet hit the dirty sidewalk. Suddenly, you crashed into another body, the collision almost sending you falling to the ground.

You regained your balance, then finally glanced up to see who you had run into. When your eyes met theirs, you could immediately feel your heart beat pick up, eyes going wide.

Stiles.

The boy you tired to hard to forget about was standing right in front of you, but something just didn't look right. He wasn't looking like his usual bubbly self. He looked tired... broken.

"Are you okay?" You found yourself asking, and it almost looked as though Stiles was going to laugh at your question, but you thought wrong.

He shrugged tiredly, shaking his head gently, "I guess not really?"

"Whats wrong?"

His eyes locked with yours, "You leaving was the worst thing to ever happen to me. I haven't been sleeping properly, and I guess... I missed you, Zara. Malia and I, we will never be anything other than friends. I love you. I always have and always will."

Hearing those three simple words made your heart race, and it made you realize that you loved him too. No amount of time away from the boy could change that.

"Zara?" He spoke again, softly and carefully.

You glanced up, eyes meeting his much more tired looking ones, "Y-Yeah?"

"If you could be anywhere in the world, where would you want to be?"

You were taken back to the day you tired so hard to forget about, all the feelings and memories flooding your body like a tsunami. You remember the last time he asked you this, but this time you were happy to give him a different answer.

"Doesn't matter. So long as I'm with you, I don't care where I am."
