Personal Present

Some days have passed and I've put all my plans on hold due to my unexplained sickness... But I think everything is becoming clearer now.

"Pregnancy test?" Joshua asked

"Pregnancy test" I responded stretching my hand out.

He placed the box into my hand and I raced to the bathroom exuberantly with my glass of water, I chugged it down and immediately felt the need to pee.

"Yes" I squealed as I placed the stick under me.

Time flew by as I paced up and down in my ensuite bathroom eagerly, I wanted to know what those results read.

Joshua bursted into the bathroom as we looked down at the results together, I leaped into his arms as soon as we were sure that it was for real this time.

"We're pregnant, well... I'm pregnant" I announced enthusiastically, squeezing Joshua tighter.

He patted his eyes dry before picking me up bridal style, he took me to the bed in order to give me the breakfast he prepared.

"I've got to tell my mum about this" he began rambling on.

"In due time" I told him as I finished up the last of what was on my plate.

"I've got to go into the studio today, I've got some... Business to sort out" I stated speedily handing the tray over to Joshua.

I wasted no time picking out clothes and shoes to wear, time merely passed as I speeded to work.

This baby shock is at the worst possibly timing. It's either Joshua's or Daniel's, this is not good.

When I spotted Daniel I made my way to him, pulling him into the nearest room, desperately hoping no one was present, I scanned the room thoroughly before confessing.

"I'm pregnant-

"Yeah, I would've thought" he replied nonchalantly.

"What?" I asked loudly, almost taking it upon myself to strangle him.

"I didn't use a condom when we fucked, I don't believe in that" Daniel smirked before stroking my cheek gently.

"Lord knows I hope it's not yours" I blurted out in a hostile tone, all feelings for him flew out the window by this point.

"I'm in a relationship, you knew that, why'd you have to go and-

"I would say I'm sorry, but I'm not" he admitted, ignoring what I previously said.

"If it's mine, I'll do everything I can" he added honestly.

"Don't worry, it won't be, but stay hopeful cause the baby Tiana's carrying is yours right?" I said plainly as I began to walk off.

"Tiana- she what?- pregnant?" Daniel asked startled.

I nodded to avoid being sarcastic towards him and potentially hurting his feelings, I should just let this anger out some other way.

Daniel slid onto the nearby chair and rested his head in his hands, he seemed defeated but so was I, therefore I upheld the silence.

Please God allow this to be Joshua's baby.

"I choose you" Daniel claimed hopping up.

"You don't get to choose, I already belong to someone else, just stop it"

That was the last sentence uttered before I walked out still hot headed, I couldn't handle the information, especially because I was left unknowing.

"Yo, what's up shawty?" Ray yelled above the unfamiliarly loud hallway.

"Nothing, just about to go home actually, I've got to go to Uni tomorrow"

Ray stopped in front of me before continuing.

"You're going back already? Damn" he sighed patting my back.

"Sorry bro"

My eyes welled up with tears noticeably, but Ray had already gone off to complete whatever task he'd been set, so I was left to tend to my own tears.
