Detective Ash
Detective Ash
As I arrived in my Driveway, all of my guilt hit me at once. I had committed a heinous crime many years ago. Yes, I had murdered Ernest Rails. I was in love with Marie before she was Married and we were together until she concocted a plan to get rich off of Ernest Rails. We were still together and seeing each other during her marriage to Ernest. When Henry was born Ernest had no idea that he wasn't the father. Its true, Henry is my son but at that time I let that be a secret considering Ernest could give the boy a good life. When Harry came I was truly upset, he was biologically Ernest's child. Marie had actually been with the man. And when Howard came, he was also a child of Ernest. I grew jealous when this cane to my attention. It drove me mad and so that fatal night of Ernest's death began.
Knock! Knock! Knock! I was standing at the front door of The Ernest house. I waited for about three minutes until Marie came to the door. " Carl what are you doing here?" She asked me pulling the door up a bit so that nobody could see me inside. "I'm hear to talk about our child" I exclaimed. "Stop saying that, Ernest takes care of the children well." This made me very angry she was telling me that I should forget all about our fifteen year old son. I opened my mouth to speak but I was instantly cut off by Ernest Pulling the front door open. "Hi, Ernest Rails, are you a friend of Marie's?" He asked me. "I actually cane to talk to you" I informed Ernest. In response, Ernest's eyebrows shot up in disbelief. "Sure come with me" he instructed. I trailed Ernest until we got to his study. "Okay what can I help you with" Ernest said. "Well I have some interesting information that I think you'd like to know." He looked around the room as an awkward silence filled the study. "Okay what is it?" Ernest asked politely. I couldn't have been more happy to tell him. "I wanted to inform you that I've been sleeping with your wife ever since her Jiffy Lube days and never stopped, Henry is my child biologically." I told Ernest. He was completely winded by my answer as his eyes looked big as saucers. He hopped across the desk between us.and we instantly were in a scuffle. He had stolen my woman because he had money and had two children with her that could've been mine. Marie ran into the room and tried to pry us apart. Her attempts were futile, we only separated after I had punched Ernest and he fell off of me. Soon the room had all the children in it and they looked at the two of us dumbfounded.
"Get away from my father you maniac" Henry screamed as he ran to Ernest's aid. "Who are you?" He questioned me. As I surveyed the young man, I noticed that he was spitting image of myself. He was looking into a mirror and he hadn't even realized it yet. By this Marie had pulled me out of the room. "What is your problem?" She began to interrogate me. "I love you and yet you are here." I confessed. "I love you too but this is no longer about me or you. This is about the greater good of my children." He told me. I stood, my face focused upon the ground, when Marie kissed me so subtle. I was in love with this woman, Rather she was married or not. "Hey!" Henry shouted before he separated the two of us. "First you attack my father in his own home, and now you lock lips with his wife. IN HIS HOUSE!" He yelled until I finally decided to speak to the confused young man. "Son, you have no idea what is happening" I warned him. I left that house without an inch of remorse for what I had done. Before I left I whispered something in the ear of the love of my life. "If I can't have you, then no one can" I spoke. You probably think that I would kill her, but no, I was going to kill the man that took her away from me. That night I knew that Ernest Rails always was the last person in the building next to the train tracks. He would always go to make sure everything was in tact with his company. I waited until he finally retreated from the building to grab him. Once I did grab him, I choked him until he was unconscious. After he was unconscious I tied him to the railroad. Ernest stirred right before the Train sliced his body into pieces. His last sight was the train that ended his life.As I pondered over the wild memory of my past, I joined my palms together to pray. "In Jesus name I pray that I will be forgiven for all sin that I have committed and that salvation with await me so that the pearly white gates will open when the time comes." I finished my prayer by forming a crucifix shape over my chest. I was a man that had done wrong in his life but during that time for the love of Marie, I would do anything. For twenty-three years that remained a secret to the world. Now the same house that I had attacked his father in, Harry had been killed inside of. I may have killed his father but I would never wish nor bring any harm to either of the boys. I sure hoped that Detective Waters could solve this horrendous crime. With all my might I forced myself to get out of my car and walk in the house. When I got to my bedroom there was a suprise.
