"Practice on a Sunday?! really?!" Kei shouts as he throws his towel down, not only was it the only day he got to spend away from that shrimp and king, it was his birthday, Kei grumbles a string of curse words and throws on his gym clothes
He throws open his door and stomps downstairs "AH BIRTHDAY BO-" Akiteru starts to greet his brother but earns a front door to the face, Kei puts his headphones over his ears and storms down the foot path
"Ah, Yamaguchi" he mutters, turning down a street to his boyfriends house, he makes his way up to the small house and knocks, he stands for a while before huffing "no ones home, how strange" he turns and begins to walk to the gym, his thoughts still on the missing freckled boy
Once he arrives at the gym, the lights are switched off but the door is unlocked "Typical Freak Duo not locking up after clean up" he mutters to himself, pushing open the doors, suddenly the lights slam on and a blast is heard "HAPPY BIRTHDAY TSUKISHIMA!" Kei blinks and looks at his team
Suga and Daichi stumble over and grin at him, handing him two presents, then Tanaka and Noya come over dragging a sweating Asahi over, plopping five presents on top of his pile
"AH US TOO CMON BAKAYAMA" Hinata's screams but Kei can't see over his pile
"happy birthday" Kiyoko whispers and a shaking Yachi hands over three presents
"happy birthday Glasses-Kun" Bokuto and Kuroo's voices echo through and more presents plop on
"Leave him be" Akaashi doesn't only help but joins to his pile, but one voice he hasn't heard is the freckled boy that he hears everyday
He gentle puts his presents down and turns, blushing and smiling a small smile "t-Thank you all for the gifts, and for all of this" he bows and everyone grins, nodding
He sits down and watches everyone start up a volleyball game, Suga comes over and sits beside him, smiling
"are you enjoying yourself, I know it might be hard when Noya and Hinata are competing to see how much of your party food they can fit into their mouths, or Daichi and Asahi whining at each other, or Kageyama begging Akaashi to teach him, but it's what you see everyday Tsukishima, and if I know any better I'd say you liked it this way" Suga grins his motherly smile and Kei smiles back a little
"It's not any of that, it's just that, is Y-Yamaguchi going to be here anytime soon?" Kei blushes, looking away
"Oh! Speaking of the devil" Suga giggles and winks, nudging Kei
Kei looks over and sees Yamaguchi enter with a cake box and a gift on top of it
"He made all of this possible, and even when Kiyoko said she would make the cake, he still said he knew what one you'd prefer" Suga smiles and pushes Kei over to the stumbling boy
"Yamaguchi!" Kei smiles, waving, Yamaguchi looks over and grins, blushing a little
"s-sorry I'm late Tsukki! I had to get your cake early!" He giggles, smiling from ear to ear, Kei takes the cake and the gift from his boyfriend and puts them down gently, wrapping his arms around him
Yamaguchi giggles and hugs him back "happy birthday Mr dinosaur lover" he snickers
"HEY HEY HEY, GLASSES-KUN, LOOKIE" Bokuto screams, Kei growls and turns around, Yamaguchi still in his arms, the owl grins and shouts 'ready'
Next to him, in a large cardboard cake, Kuroo jumps out shirtless, Tanaka hot in trail, everyone gasps and starts snickering, Kenma, who is beside Hinata, snaps a photo and he himself begins to snicker
Kei covers Yamaguchi's eyes and glares at the boy in the cake, slowly the boy in the cake goes back down, whispering "happy birthday lamewad"
