Chapter sixteen

Maddilyne's POV
"Are you okay!" Caine and zaine yell running up to me is the first thing I hear when me and Zachariah walk into the house.
"Yes I'm fine and the baby is perfectly healthy"I say smiling
"Thank god"Caine breaths hugging me
We walk into the kitchen and I sit down at the island beside zaine then Zachariah sits down while Caine finishes cooking.
"So do you want to tell me what happened"Zach says
"Uh not really"I say walking to the fridge and getting a bottle of water
"Maddilyne"Caine says warningly
I look at them and their all looking at me.
"Fine"I huff
"Hunter and his girlfriend have been pestering me for a copy of my sonogram but I know he don't want it for anything good I know it may sound crazy but I'm already so protective of this baby it's my baby but they came up to us a lunch and kept bugging and bugging me for a copy I said no then today when I came out of the bathroom she cursed at me and demanded a copy when I said no she got mad and drew her fist back I turned in time for her to hit my back and not my stomach"I say playing with the cap of my water
"Why didn't your tell me"Zach asked
"Because I knew you would've said something and it would have made it worse"I say
"What happened after that"zaine asked
"Zoey knocked her the fuck out"I laugh
"Maddilyne!"Zach and Caine exclaim
"Sorry"I mumble then remember I need to call Zoey
"I'm gonna go change and call Zoey"I say walking to the stairs then up to my room.
I get my phone out of my pocket and dial her number and put it to my ear then go to my closet. I search for my shorts and a t shirt while the phone rings.
I finally found them just as she yells in my ear.
"Omg! Are you okay is the baby okay I should've walked with you I'm sorry I didn't"she rambled on
"Zoey!"I yell
"What"she says
"I'm fine the baby is perfectly healthy it's not your fault"I say smiling
"I know I just feel bad"she says
"I promise its okay"I say trying to put my shorts on as I already got my pants off.
Let me tell you it's challenging.
I set the phone down and change my shirt real quick.
"How much trouble are you in"I ask sitting down
"Uh a week out then another week of after school detention"she say and I know she's smirking
"I'm sorry"I say
"It's okay she deserved it"she says
"How'd your parents take it"I ask
"They were livid at first but then after I told them everything they weren't as mad dad said he understood but I shouldn't have beat her so bad"she says with a sigh
"Thank you for saving me it's hard to tell what would've happened if you didn't show up"I say
"No problem the only thing I could think of was you and the baby getting hurt"she says
"I know"I say
We talk for about another hour and Zachariah keeps yelling at me to come eat.
I hear his footsteps coming up the steps.
"I know right well Zach is about to throw a hissy fit so I gotta go love you"I say
"Love you"she laughs and hangs up just as he opens my door I look up and smile.
"Maddilyne I have called for you for five minutes now get your butt down there and eat"he says
I chuckle at him then get up and walk to the door and as I pass him he smacks my butt hard twice.
"Ow!"I yell putting my hands on my butt
"You know to listen"he says then walks downstairs and I follow.
I sit down at my place and pout.
"Why are you pouting"zaine asks
I just glare at him, I know mood swings it happens a lot I'll be happy then something stupid will just piss me off.
And Zach smacking my butt and scolding me pissed me off.
"She's mad because I swatted her twice for not listening"Zachariah says setting my plate in front of me I glare at him and grab my fork.
"And your pouting because of that"zaine asked chuckling
"Mind your business!"I say taking a bite of my mashed potatoes
"Maddilyne!" Zach says sternly
I ignore him and continue eating
"Apologize" Caine says from beside me
"You apologize" I say back getting irritated with it all
"Little girl if you don't stop"Zach growls
I huff and glare at them all.
"Maddilyne you heard me now apologize" Caine says firmly
"I didn't even do anything!" I yell
"Your being rude!"Zach says like he's in shock
"No I'm not"I say back then taking a bite of my food I'm starving and their stopping me from eating. I mean I ate a little bit ago but man I get hungry.
"Yes you are you either apologize or we will be having a discussion after dinner then you will apologize"Caine says sternly
I huff then look at them .
"Sorry"I say not wanting to have a discussion with Caine.
They nod then start eating and talking with each other. I don't take place in their conversations when they try to get me to I answer with one word answers and continue to eat.
I finish and take my plate to the kitchen and wash it.
I walk towards the entrance to go to my room when Zach stops me.
"Hey you got homework"he says
"No I don't" I say turning to face him comfortably rubbing my belly
"Yes you do"he says getting up an handing me a paper from his class
"Are you kidding me"I whine
"No I'm not now get it done it's due tomorrow"he says starting to clean up
I turn and go up to my room and put my paper on my desk then lay on my bed with my lap top on my lap.
I chat with Zoey for a bit check some stuff then end up falling asleep completely forgetting to do something.
