Louis POV:
"I've got a surprise for you," I said smiling.
"Really? What!" She said excitedly. I knew she loved surprises.
"The boys and I are going to be back in London at the weekend and we can meet up then." I said happily. I hadn't seen Kitty in ages and I really missed hanging out with her. I don't want to loose our friendship.
"Louis that would be amazing I-" she started but suddenly I heard a loud noise and the line went dead.
"Kitty?" I asked. No response. "Kitty!" I shouted down the phone.
"Mate what's wrong?" Harry asked.
"It's Kitty," I said simply dialling her mums number.
"Katherine? Is she okay?" Harry asked worriedly. I loved it how Katherine would only let me call her Kitty. No one else. Like it was our little thing.
"I-I don't know. When I was talking to her there was a loud noise and then the line went dead," I said quickly waiting for her mum to pick up.
"Hello?" She asked.
"Laura it's me Louis," I started.
"Louis hi I haven't heard from you-" she started.
"Laura you don't understand," I said. "Do you know where Kitty is?"
"Katherine? She left for the store about ten minutes ago," she said. "Why?"
"When I was talking to her on the phone just now there was a loud noise and then the line went dead," I explained.
"Okay one second I'll phone you back," she said hurriedly.
I sighed as she hung up. I sat down and put my head in my hands.
"Mate I'm sure she's fine," Harry said patting me on the back.
"I hope so Haz," I said. Suddenly my phone rung again and I picked it up immediately.
"Louis?" Kitty's mum said.
"Laura she's okay right?" I said.
"Louis," she said, her voice cracking.
"What is it?" I said worriedly.
"She got hit by a car." I was silent, trying to comprehend what she had just said.
"An ambulance has just arrived, they're taking her to hospital." She said, crying.
"I'll be there as soon as I can," I said.
"Louis you're in America," she said.
"I'll be there as soon as I can," I repeated booking the first flight to London.
--------------------
The flight was too long. I didn't catch a wink of sleep even though it was a late flight. I hadn't slept in almost 20 hours. I booked the first flight to London and told the boys. They insisted on coming with me but I wouldn't let them. It would take too much time. Plus they already had a flight booked for a couple of day later. As soon as I landed I hailed a cab and drove straight to the hospital Kitty's mum told me they were taking her. I ran up to the reception desk at the hospital, panting heavily. Seen as it was about 4:00 am there was hardly anyone at the hospital.
"Hi what room is Katherine Johnson in?" I asked the receptionist.
"I'm sorry sir but visiting hours are closed," she said not looking up from the computer screen.
"No you don't understand, I've literally come all the way from America to see her," I tried to explain.
She sighed and looked up, her eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
"Are you Louis Tomlinson?" She asked. I huffed and ran my hands through my hair.
"Yes," I replied honestly.
"Well I'm not really allowed to so this," she said biting the end of her pen.
"Please," I begged.
"Room 326," she said smiling slightly.
"Thank you so much," I said running off the find room number 326.
I ran up the stairs. Room 324, 325, 326. I quickly rushed in and saw her mum sitting in the hospital chair next to her bed.
"Laura is she okay?" I asked Kitty's mum. I looked at Kitty and it brought tears to my eyes. She was so pale, her face bruised and her eyes firmly shut. A number of wires were in her hands. It brought tears to my eyes seeing her like this.
"Well apparently she was very lucky. The doctors say that she should be waking up in the next couple of days. Things could've been a lot worse," she said.
I sighed in relief. She was going to be okay. She was a strong girl, she could get through it. But when I looked at her mum again, I could tell there was something else.
"Laura what is it?" I asked.
"Louis," she said, her voice cracking.
I took her hand in mine, rubbing soft circles.
"It's okay Laura, tell me." I said reassuringly, a lump rising in my throat.
"She hit her head," Kitty's mum started. I felt a tear slide down my cheek, but nodded for her to continue. "Louis, she's lost all her memory."
My heart shattered. She doesn't remember me. All the jokes when we were kids. Our secret tree house. The memories we shared. All gone.
"No," I said not believing her.
"Louis I'm sorry."
Hey. Sorry the chapter is short but the chapters will get longer and better. Please vote and comment, it would really mean a lot to me. Ily <3
