I'll Never Forget You || Louis Tomlinson

Chapter 22

Harry and Niall had left later that night, after the film had finished. Louis and I just stayed sitting on the sofa long after midnight.

"So what happened in the years after my accident? The years where I didn't know you," I asked.

Louis shut his eyes and leaned back, remembering the years.

"One Direction," he laughed slightly.

"Oh yeah. Care to explain?" I asked.

"Well you know I got put in a band on the X Factor. Basically the next three years have been devoted to that. Writing new albums, touring, writing books, meet and greets, interviews. We haven't stopped. I don't see my family as much as I'd like to and that's mainly the reason why I didn't tell you about me after your accident. Because I'd know I couldn't see you as much anymore." He answered fully.

"I get it, I understand." I said smiling.

"Time to go to bed," he declared getting up.

"I'm not tired," I said as a small yawn escaped my lips.

"Really?" He laughed.

I nodded and crossed my arms over my chest.

"Come on," he said.

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes."

"No."

"Fine. I guess we'll sleep on the couch again," he sighed in defeat.

"You're the best," I tried to stifle a yawn as I leaned on his chest.

"Yeah yeah I know." He replied before I fell asleep.

"You really don't have to come with me to work," I said as Louis climbed in the drivers seat of the car and I stepped into the passengers seat.

"But I want to," he replied casually as he started driving to the radio station.

"But what about your fans?" I asked.

"What about them?"

"They're going to ask about me and what are you going to tell them?" I asked.

"I'll just tell them the truth, that we're childhood friends." He shrugged.

"But-" I started.

"Just relax. Everything's going to be okay," he said smiling although it didn't quite reach his eyes.

...

"Welcome to Sound Wave FM with Liv and Kat at 8:00 am on your Tuesday morning," I heard Liv say into the microphone as we entered the studio.

She smiled when she saw me but her eyes widened when she spotted Louis behind me.

"Remember to keep tweeting your questions and I'll answer some of them right after this," she finished before pressing a few buttons, taking her headphones off and coming to join us.

"Louis what are you doing here? And how did you get in unnoticed?" She asked.

"Nice to see you too Liv," I said as I sat down opposite the DJ.

"Yeah yeah," she laughed.

"Is it okay if I stay here until you're shows finished?" Louis asked.

"No Louis you don't have to stay," I said sternly. 

"But I-" he started but I cut him off.

"Louis go see your family. You said so yourself you want to see them more," I quoted his words.

"Fine I'll stay for a bit then I'll come and pick you up when you're finished. Okay?" He sighed giving in.

"Okay," I smiled as Liv and I put our headphones on and carried on with the show.

"Okay thank you all for tweeting your questions. The first one's for Kat," she said looking at me.

"Yep," I said and I saw Louis looking at me through the glass, leaning on the doorframe and folding his arms across his chest.

"Alice from London wants to know if you and Louis Tomlinson are dating?" She said raising her eyebrows at me.

"Uh," I looked at Louis through the window to see he had the same shocked expression as me. "No, we're just good friends." I said.

"Okay moving on," Liv said. "The next question's for Kat again."

I sighed as Liv read the next question out.

"Sarah wants to know if you think Louis Tomlinson is hot?" She said trying to hold back a laugh.

I looked at Louis through the glass to see he was staring at me intently with his eyebrows raised and a smirk plastered on his face.

"Well you know I," I stuttered feeling my cheeks grow hot. Liv looked at me, waiting for me to answer. "Uh I guess," I said looking down.

"I think we all agree with you there," Liv said. "One Directions on the way and after we'll be answering some more of your questions," she finished as I played a One Direction and when I looked up again I noticed Louis was gone.
