1992 Mystery Case [Fifth Harmony/You]

Open Old Case

~Fast Forward The Present ~

A young man waiting patiently at the front desk for someone to help him, he takes his snapback off and run his hand through his hair

"Can I help you?" A woman goes up to him which makes him look at her

"You're a cop?" He asks, just to be sure she is a cop

"Detective Rush. How can I help you?" She sits next to him

"Do you know about the death of Y/N Y/L/N in 1992?"

"According at that time, cops believed it was a hit and run but others believed it was a robbery gone wrong."

He takes a deep breath "Bullshit. That was no hit and run or a robbery gone wrong. I believe there's more to what happened" he got up, feeling angry "Whoever killed Y/N is going to pay for this"

She gets up and puts her hand on his shoulder "Calm down, okay? We're going to do everything we can to solve this case"

He takes a deep breath "Thank you"

"Y/N means a lot to you, doesn't she?" She asked and he nod his head "What's your name?"

"Christian Y/L/N"

Finally she understands a little more to why Y/N is important to him

"I'll give you my word, Christian. We'll solve this case"

2:32 pm

"Y/N Y/L/N, born on Y/B/D, she was only 21 years old when she died"

Detective Rush listened to her partner Detective Valens as he read Y/N's file

"Says here it was a hit and run. Medical shows blood trauma due to the amount of swings to the head, bruises on her ribs, a cut on her lip, no drugs or alcohol in her system and if someone found her earlier she would have still be alive to this day."

"Any evidence at the scene?"

"Yeah a wooden baseball bat used as a weapon but that's not all" he looks at the photos then hands Rush the photos "From the scene, it seems it wasn't just the baseball bat but whoever did it used their hands as well on this."

"So whoever did this, their DNA sample will be found just by a simple test" Rush looked at the photos "Not a smart thing to do with just your hands."

"Cops interviewed a few people on the case, starting with the owner of the bar."

3:01 pm

A man wiping tables clean and cleaning glasses

Both Detective Rush and Detective Valens enter the bar and see him then walked up to him

"Buster Allen"

He stops doing what he was doing and looked at them "Yes. What can I do for you?"

"Detective Rush and my partner Detective Valens, we'd like to ask you a few questions on Y/N Y/L/N"

"Y/N Y/L, haven't heard that name in a long time" he tells them "Sad about what happened to her."

"Where were you the night Y/N was killed?" Valens asked him

"Here of course I have a bar to run, serving drinks to customers and speaking to customers." Buster puts a towel away

"Anyone have a grudge against her? Maybe to kill her"

"No, Y/N had no trouble with anyone but after what happen with her pal. Things took a turn"

- Flashback -

"Buster, two of the usual for us"

"You got it, Steven" Buster grabs a beer and pours a glass of wine then hands them to Steven and Y/N then goes to serve more drinks to customers and of course chats with a few people

"Wife is still a pain in the ass but the kids are growing so once they are older, I could get the hell out of there" Steven drinks his beer more

"She can't be that bad besides she's only worries about you" Y/N tells him as she finished her glass of wine

"Doesn't matter. She ain't giving me what I want the most in fact I got my eyes on someone else" he looks at Y/N then takes a sip of his beer and licks his lips after

Y/N clears her throat "Steven, I'm sorry but no I can't do that."

"C'mon Y/N, don't like there was nothing between us."

"Sorry, Steven but all I see is you and I just friends and it just wouldn't work out between us" Y/N tells him

"Really Y/N that's how you feel. You never gave me the chance to show you what I can give you. Like please Y/N" he begged

"I'm sorry, Steven but I don't feel the way you feel for me. I just think it's best to stay friends"

Steven breaks his glass of beer by squeezing it hard with his hand, obviously pissed from being rejected

"Steven, calm down" Y/N tells him, knowing how he gets

"Piss off, Y/N" he yelled at Y/N which caused Buster to show up

"Take it outside, Steven. You heard her she doesn't want to be with you"

Steven looks at Y/N "You're going to regret it, you hear me!" Then he walks out of the bar

Y/N sighs after he left

- Flashback Ended -

"So Steven had a thing for Y/N" Detective Rush looks at Buster

Buster nods "After that incident, I believe things weren't ever the same between Steven and Y/N. In fact after Y/N's death, Steven showed up here once with a smirk on his face acting like nothing bad happened at all"
