-Alexa's Point of View-

As Lynn talked, I couldn't manage to keep the smile from my face. The way her voice got high and happy when she said certain things and when she laughed at her own jokes with her face stuffed with the odd pizza she had ordered.

Even when she had laughed so hard she had spilled her drink all over my jeans, I couldn't help but laugh along with her at the incident. It was just something about her and the way she interacted with people. It was difficult to put into words.

I watched her in silence for a minute, it being one of the only moments that weren't filled with some sort of conversation or laughing, but somehow the area around us didn't feel heavy with silence like usual conversations do.

"What?" Lynn broke the silence lingering between us, laughing a bit since I had probably been staring with a smile on my face. I can't help the way my face naturally falls, but I guess she had noticed and probably was making sure the staring wasn't because of something bad she might have done.

"You have pizza sauce on the side of your mouth." I giggled.

Lynn's face went to shock for a minute before putting her hand  up and getting rid of the lingering mess across her face. She just laughed it off though, causing me to join in as well from happiness from the moment.

I smiled and made sure to wipe my own mouth before Lynn would be able to say something back in return, thankfully the napkin coming back clean and pizza sauce free.

Our conversation continued, things like cats and the funniest youtube videos we had seen recently, the restaurant suddenly filled with out conjoined laughter after almost everything said between us.

"I probably need to go soon." Lynn stood up politely, both of us having paid what felt like hours ago.

I had dreaded hearing those words, but deep down I knew it wasn't going to be long before we would actually get to speak again. I only felt a temporary sadness because of the moment ending currently, but thankfully not in the long run as far as I could tell.

We had made introductions and even inside jokes had begun to form between the two of us in only a matter of an hour or so and I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised with the outcome of just agreeing to meet after work with someone.

"We'll talk later, right?" I asked looking at her and smiling.

I was relieved when she nodded enthusiastically, grabbing her things and walking out of the pizza joint, the door bell jingling behind her as she left and walked back out.

The smile plastered across my face couldn't have moved if I wanted it to, the cheeky smile practically glued onto my face at the moment.

When I arrived back at my own place, I stripped down to my underwear and a huge shirt placed over it. I still remembered Lynn's roommate and how loud she had been even towards a stranger and a guest in her apartment, but in comparison my small place actually felt a lot more empty.

Horrific stories of killer roommates is what always turned me off of ever getting one, that and the set back of no longer being able to walk around half-naked, but the big place felt emptier than usual. I wasn't sure if it was because of the amazing moments I had prior to arriving back home and wishing for it to continue or just suddenly realizing how empty my place was, but as I sat down I felt almost uncomfortable in a way.

After a long debate with whether or not to get a roommate, I decided on putting on a movie to think it over. In the long run, the show Snapped probably hadn't been my best option, but when I went to lay down, I filled my mind with images of today and the realization that I somehow made an amazing decision.

That night, I hadn't expected that night to pass out and for someone to take me in for the night and make sure I was okay as well. Not only that, but the girl was hilarious and definitely someone I had an actual good time with. It was a concept that was almost hard for me to wrap my head around because it had simply never happened to me before.

As I drifted off quietly to sleep, I couldn't help but smile at the hopeful days to come being spent with someone who's company I enjoyed so much.
