Lapis was wandering among the aisles of white, laced dresses with Steven, Pearl, Amethyst, and Garnet.

Steven pointed at each one.

Steven: This one?

Lapis rolled her eyes and giggled.
Lapis Lazuli: No...

Steven: how about this one!?
Lapis pretended to examine it.

Lapis Lazuli: No.

Steven pointed at another, over and over.

Steven gasped.

Steven: this one..?!

Lapis turned around.

Lapis Lazuli: NO!!!
......

Lapis stared at the dress. It was actually quite nice by the looks of it.

Lapis Lazuli: Wait a second.

She grabbed it off the rack, setting it down on a table, in its bag.

She un zipped the bag and held it up.

Pearl held her hands to her mouth.

Steven: See!? I was right!

Lace covered it like an ocean, it draped down, silky to the touch. It was ballroom fit and was sleeveless. It had a train in the back, also made of beautiful, gold lined, lace.

Lapis Lazuli: I think I wanna try it on...

She carried it to a fitting room and put it on.

Lapis looked in the mirror.

All she could think about was Peridot.
How much she loved her.
How much she wanted her.
How excited she was.

It was amazing.

She stepped out, Carrying the sides.

They gasped, and Steven ran up and examined it all over.

Steven: the lace....the size..... The character..... The DRESS!

Steven hugged Lapis as hard as he could.

Steven: YOU ARE GETTIN' MARRIED!!!

Pearl: Steven, Steven! Step back, give her some air.

Pearl walked up to Lapis.
Pearl: it's beautiful, Lapis. Go stand on the podium!

Lapis walked onto the small, circular stage and looked in the mirror once again.

She turned to look at the sides and the back.

Shopkeeper: looks perfect, sweetheart. But, it will look amazing with this.

She handed Lapis a Flower crown made of white flowers. The same that Peridot held the day she engaged.

Lapis Lazuli: It's... It's wonderful, thank you.

She set it on her head and looked in the mirror once again.

Right in her eyes. That small spark.

She walked to the mirror, and stuck her hand on there, as if it were another person.

A tear rolled down her cheek.

Out of all the centuries she has spent as prisoner, or trapped somewhere she didn't want to be, this was one of the best. And Peridot was the one who caused it to happen.

Her beautiful Peridot.
