Peridot sat on a chair in a tux shop, reading fan fictions on her screen.
Peridot looked around, and went back to growling.
Steven: Peridot... It's for Lapis.
Peridot looked up, her eyes slightly widening.
Steven: She is so excited about this... Don't you care?
Peridot unsummoned her screen and got up.
Steven smiled.
Peridot: ugh.... These look terrible...
Steven: well... You look good in black right?
Peridot: I... I guess so?
Steven: .....Welllllll.....
He grabbed a black jacket and a black button up, along with some black pants.
Steven: Here you are!
Peridot examined them.
Peridot: Don't they need a tie or something...?
Peridot rushed over to a large shelf of ties and bow ties.
She grabbed a white one, made of silk and walked back to Steven with a puzzled face.
Peridot: would this work?
Steven gushed and pushed her into a fitting room.
Steven: PUT IT ON, PUT IT OOONNN!!!!
Peridot tripped into there, and threw them on, feeling rushed.
She stepped out, slouching.
Steven: no, no, no! You have to stand up straight.
He pushed her torso, arms, and head up then stepped back to un wrinkle the suit.
Steven: now, we put on the bow tie.
He wrapped it around Peridot's neck and buttoned it.
Steven: okay, you look ..... GREAT! Go look in the mirror! Go, go, go!
Peridot shuffled over to a tall mirror hanging on the wall and stepped back.
Peridot: Hm. Hmmm.
Peridot turned and looked at her suit.
Peridot: This... Will have to do.
She rushed over to the clerk.
Clerk: That will be $119.99.
The clerk smiled and Peridot rolled her eyes and handed over her credit card.
Once that was over they left, Peridot holding the wrapped up suit in her arms.
As Steven ran away excitedly onto the beach, Peridot sighed.
Peridot: I got it, Lapis.
