Sora's P.O.V.
"Aufstehen! Guten morgen 11 clase."(1) Frau Bojenoski greeted. "Guten Morgen Frau Bojenoski." We replied. "Sitzen."(2) We sat. "Ok, today we will split into groups for a project. Gruppen von zwei. Ich werde wählen."(3) She said. Great. Then, she read off a list of names. "Souji und Sora." she called. My head snapped up, my eyes wide. "Why me?" she continued. I saw Souji's face light up when our names were called. Great.
Souji's P.O.V.
Yes! I'm paired with Sora. I was happy. I wanted to be paired with him. I felt I could get him to break out of the wall he seems to have built around himself. "Sitzen mit Ihren Parten."(4) Frau Bojenoski said. I smiled and walked over to an empty desk next to Sora. "Hey. What's up?" I asked with a smile. "Nothing. Sei ruhig."(5) He snapped at me, sulking. "What did I do?" I thought to myself. "You will be assigned a city in Germany, do research, and make a PowerPoint. Morgen(6) I will hand out rubrics. Auf Weidesehen,(7) 11 clase." She said. "Auf Weidesehen, Frau Bojenoski." We responded. We left. Sora started walking away. "Wait!" I called. He stopped. "Lets exchange phone numbers so we can keep in touch for this project." I said. Sora sulked. "590-9089." He said, monotone. "OK. I'll text you later!" I said. "hm." Sora said before walking away. "Why is he so cold? What's his secret?" I wondered.
