Belle and I sat in a room with a fire place and talked about how Lumiere and the others could talk. Apparently, a curse was put on this castle. That's why Beast was a... uh.... a beast.
"That's horrible!" I said.
"Yes, but this is all just a lesson so he can learn to love. And... be loved in return," Belle said, blushing at that last part.
"So, is that why you're here? You're the one to..... love him in return?" Now Belle was really blushing. I smiled at her. "If it makes you feel any better, I really do think Beast likes you. He was determined to find you after you disappeared."
"Really?" she asked, looking surprised. She looked into the fireplace. "One might think it's a nightmare. Being trapped in a castle by a beast. But he's different. At least, he didn't want to marry me the second he laid eyes on me." We both laughed at that. Who wants to get married the first time they meet? I don't believe in "love at first sight" and all that lovey dovey stuff. Life is not a fairytale.
"He's kind and sweet. Funny and considerate of how I feel. He even gave me his entire library! You won't find that back in my village." Belle sighed and looked at me. "Maybe I do.... love him." I grabbed Belle's hands and spun her around. She was giggling and so was I. I can't believe it! I've always wondered what love was like, but now I'm getting a glimpse of it. Doing anything to save what matters.
That made me think of Hikari... Hikari! I let go of Belle and stopped smiling.
How could I have forgotten?
"I need to find someone I love, someone very dear to my heart. I have to search for her in this castle."
"I'll come with you," Belle said, starting for the door.
"No!" I yelled, grabbing her arm. "Gaston might still be out there with his army, and Beast would never forgive me if something happened to you. I'll take you back to your room." As I escorted her back to Lumiere, Cogsworth, and everyone else, I thought of where I needed to go. I'd been everywhere except... the West Wing.
I told Belle to lock her door and took off to the West Wing, trying to go fast but quietly so Beast wouldn't hear me. As I walked down a huge hallway, knights in armor lining the walls towered over me.
"Hikari!" I whisper-shouted. More knights in armor guarded some steps and wouldn't budge when I pushed against them. Another door was across from the steps and I saw a closet in front of it. Weird. I heard it snoring, so I guess it was alive too. I pushed it out of the way, trying not to wake it. Finally, it woke up. Or she, actually.
"Just when I was comfortable..." she mumbled. She hopped away, and didn't notice me.
Okay. That's not weird at all.
I walked inside and saw I was in a dungeon. Those huge nobodies with hammers appeared, and I pulled out my own weapon.
"If you wanna fight, let's go!" I yelled, hoping some self-confidence would give me the strength to win.
I ran at them and attacked them relentlessly, until they went berserk and started slamming the ground with their huge hammers. One smacked me in in the air, and another slammed me to the ground.
So that "self-confidence" plan didn't work.
I was breathing hard, trying to think of way to beat them. I thought of when Mulan and the others had my back to get rid of the other nobodies. My friends were there for me. I couldn't call upon Yami because she was still exhausted, and Hikari was gone. Just barely avoiding getting my head knocked off, I swung at one and it disappeared. Finally!
More appeared, though.
Ugh. I don't have time for this!
Jumping up on all the furniture and stuff stacked together, I jumped up to the next floor and ran through those doors. Now it really was a dungeon. The area was huge. A few lanterns lit the dark place, so I thought I saw shadows everywhere. I suddenly heard clapping. Foot steps were coming towards me. I didn't know what to do, so I waited until the creep came out of the shadows.
It was the hooded guy who took Hikari! He removed his hood, and flipped his blue hair. I glared at him, trying so hard not to run at him. He smiled at me.
"So. Braig wasn't kidding when he said you were tough. I ought to crack you, though. You could just make this easy and join the Orgiznation."
"Who the heck is the freaking Orgiznation?!" I screamed at him. I'm not one to curse, but these guys were seriously getting on my nerves!
He looked at me with his piercing yellow eyes. "Don't talk to me with such disrespect. You'd hate for your precious light to... go out, wouldn't you." He summoned his weapon, sort of like his nobody lackies' weapon, but blue and spiky.
Woah. This doesn't feel good...
I stepped back as he started towards me, and I felt helpless again. I knew I couldn't defeat him by myself. I also knew I couldn't let him take me, no matter what. I felt my anger bubble up inside me. I'm tired of running! I prepared myself to fight.
"Haku!" I looked around, trying to see where that voice came from. Was it.... Hikari?!
Hearing her voice gave me strength as I did something crazy. I ran at the man, but leaped over him instead of attacking. We locked eyes as I flipped over him, but I managed to land my jump, even with his yellow eyes in my mind.
"Hikari! Hikari!" I yelled as I ran through the dungeon. Suddenly, he was in front of me! I ran right into his broad chest and fell back. Head spinning, I waited until he came close enough that my legs could reach him. I pushed myself up, so my feet kicked his jaw.
I did that!
He grunted in pain, but I was quick with my next move. Jumping up, I swung at him with my hammer. Managing to hit his spine, he fell to the ground, but I knew he wouldn't stay down for long.
Way to go, Haku! You're tougher than you thought!
With adrenaline in my blood, I took off running until I was at a higher level. On the floor in the center was Hikari. I ran to her.
"Hikari! Oh my gosh, are you okay?" I hugged her tightly. She got up and looked mad. I suddenly tasted blood and realized my lip was bleeding. Hikari noticed, too.
I must've started bleeding after fighting those nobodies! I didn't even notice, though...
"Where is he? Did he do that to you?" Hikari asked. I just nodded. She clenched her fists and burned brightly. We heard his footsteps, and turned to seem him behind us.
"Enough games," he said. He grabbed my arm tightly and threw me across the room. I yelped at being tossed, hitting the floor with a thud. I spit blood out of my mouth and tried to get back up, but couldn't. My bones felt so sore from being hit like a punching bag, but it was Hikari who looked like she was going to murder someone. Namely, him.
"That's it!" She yelled at him. She glowed brighter and brighter. She started floating in the air, light swirling around her. "Nobody hurts Haku." She then flooded the entire dungeon with light. I heard the guy fall to the ground, screaming in pain. She was radiating power, and I saw her in her true form.
"Woah," I gasped, staring up at her.
She was a goddess. Her golden curls were long and flowing around her. She was wearing a beautiful, white and gold dress. She looked older, and I got the feeling she looked like... my mother? She slowly drifted down and came over to me. Helping me up, her light healed my wounds. I was feeling better already. She smiled down at me.
"You are the one who will save the light," she whispered. I looked at her funny. I wanted to ask what she meant, but she was fading back into me. She started to look like regular old Hikari. After she was completely gone, I felt complete. Suddenly, a loud pounding noise came from upstairs, and I ran to the steps. Something was going on!
