I wake up and see I'm still in the cave.

I look around at all the darkness.

It must be night.

I see something move though and I grab for my bow and arrow.

But then I see a little girl in the shadows and put it down.

"Hey I'm not gonna hurt you." I say and she looks at me and walks out a little but out of the shadows.

I look down and see leaves covering my hand where the knife had went through.

"Did you do this?" I ask and she nods her head.

"Thank you." I say and she smiles.

She walks out more and says "I changed your leaves 6 times."

"How long have I been out?" I ask and she says "3 days."

I feel shocked.

Rue. I remember her now. Her name is Rue.

"You want to be my ally Rue?" I ask her and she looks at me and nods and smiles.

"Good how about we go hunting for food?" I ask her and she says "Okay."

We walk out of the cave and I check to see if anybody's around but nobody is.

So we walk out of the cave and start walking in the woods and I see two birds and shoot them.

Once we gut the two birds we cook them over a fire and eat them I give Rue some of mine because she's younger and needs more food.

She reminds me a lot of Prim.

Oh Prim.

How much I miss her.

I wish I was at home right now and she never had gotten picked.

But the games are cruel and harsh.

There's no way I can turn back now. I have to win this. I have to win this for Prim.
