02: SMOKE & MIRRORS

"Millenium breaking disaster... All river traffic has been halted and
police divers search for survivors. Surrounding area
remains closed. The man, known to..."

"Harry Potter. Who's Harry Potter?"

"Um, no one.
Bit of a tosser, really." Aurora snickered sipping her tea, looking up at the dark haired girl who stood before the table. Aurora sat in an old dingy subway diner, Harry by her side like always. Harry glared at her

"Funny." The girl said sending daggers at Aurora, she rolled her eyes in reponse, "That paper of yours. Couple of minutes ago, I could have sworn
I saw a picture move." She said placing her hand on her hip, turning her body towards Harry who had now placed down the paper.

"Really?" He said looking up at the girl wide eyed, Aurora snickered at Harry getting a quick glare before the attention was averted from her once more. "Okay, I was wondering--"

"Eleven." The girl said getting a flabbergasted look from Aurora although the girl ignored it. "That's when I get off. You can tell me all about that tosser Harry Potter." She said placing her number down on the table in front of Harry slightly pushing her bum out as she walked away from the pair. Aurora looked down, a frown placed on her once delicate features, she was slightly mad at how reckless Harry was being. Harry only hit her shoulder slightly making Aurora spill her tea.

"God potter, look what you made me do, my poor new dress, do you know how much this costs?," Aurora hissed, dabbing her dress making sure all of the moisture got soaked up by the napkin, but before she could finish, Harry had tugged her from her seat by the elbow. "Ow! Harry!,"

"Aurora look," Harry said pointing out the misted window. Aurora's eyes squinted all she saw was a flicker of light, a train speeded past shaking the building with it. Aurora grabbed onto Harry's forearm, never averting her gaze from the broken light bulb. In a flash the train was gone, in its replace was Albus Dumbledore. Aurora couldn't help but let a small squeak pass her lips detaching her self from Harry she ran over to the platform Harry hot on her trail.

"You've been reckless
this summer, Harry." Dumbledore said, giving a disapproving look towards Harry, "however miss Davids I see you had no part in it"

"Of course not, I have no time for boys, especially idiots like Harry," she scoffed, crossing her arms across her chest, getting a bewildered look from Harry and to only to get a small smirk from dumbledore.

"I liked riding around
the trains. Takes my mind
off things." Aurora said adding to her previous comments.

"All unpleasant to be old,
isn't it? The tale is thrilling,
if I say so myself. But now is not the time to tell it. Both of you take my arm." Dumbledore said not phased at all, both of the adolescents looked at the man with confused glances.
"Do as I say." He demanded, causing Aurora to instantly put her hand on his arm she gave a quick look to Harry before everything around her became a blur, Aurora couldn't help but empty her lungs, a long shrill leaving her petit body.

"I hardly just Apparated, didn't I?" Harry asked dumbledore.

"God I think I may be sick," Aurora said holding her head, not getting any reaction from the men who stood either side.
