As with any european country it had wished to expand
But most of the world had already been claimed by oother european countries
Soo germany had to buy most of its colonies
It set up colonies in africa china and got some pacific islands
Germany started to militarize and implemented mandatory conscription in order to keep up with other powers
It also was leading to world in science and technology
