They had let me go home for the night, but wanted me to come back at 7:00 A.M. I agreed.
Now, I'm awake and realizing that it's 6:58. I don't freak out, I just slowly put on my clothes, and start getting ready. I stop time while I do my make up, and hair. Then I walk out my door with the time going by at half the time it normally would have. I walk out to my bike, and start it up. Then, I speed off down the street.
***
Right at 7:00 I walk into the main room.
"I'm on time." I say almost in disbelief, yet almost not even surprised.
"That you are." Wells says. Then a few minutes later the boy- Barry walks in late.
"Sorry I'm late!" He says. "Oh! She's here. Someone needs to tell me these things." Barry mumbles taking off his coat.
"Yeah, well she's got some power too, and she manages not to be late." Cisco says.
"She's apart of the team now." Caitlin says.
"I am? When was this announced? Is this official?" I ask, very confused.
"Aren't you apart of the team?" Cisco asks.
"That escalated quickly..." I mumble.
"She is apart of the team." Wells says. I ignore them and look over at Barry. I look at his face, those eyes. I can't get over them. I swear I have seen them before. Then he notices my staring. I go to look away but I get a call.
"Hello?" I answer.
"Katheryn?" The voice on the other ends says.
"That's me. What can I do for you, Oliver?" I ask.
"I need a favor." He says.
"Call me back in... Exactly 40 minutes."
***
"Who was that?" Caitlin asks.
"A friend..." I trail off.
"Hey, guys. I gotta go. Iris needs me." Barry says. We all just say our goodbyes and he leaves.
"So, what are your powers? What can you do?" Cisco asks. Without explaining, I slow down time. I run over to him, grab his cup out of his hand, and put it in Caitlin's hand that is across the room. Then I sit down next to Caitlin at a computer. Time resumes.
"Superspeed? There's another speedster. Whoa." He says.
"It's not superspeed." I say, completely annoyed at the assumption.
"She's right." Wells says. "Time manipulation."
"Like time travel? Like Back to the future?"
"Precisely. Only she can do more. Am I correct?" Wells states.
"Yeah, I can slow it down, speed it up, or just stop it. It's like un-superspeed."
"Cool." Cisco's jaw drops.
"Amazing." Caitlin says, looking like she's going to drool.
"This has big potential. You have big potential. You could change everything." Dr. Wells says almost in a trance.
"Yeah, well... I'm new to this." I state the obvious. It is true. There is a possibility I could change the whole world. I could change the future. Shit, I could change the past. Then I can tell 40 minutes is over and the phone hasn't rang. I grab it out of my pocket, and calls Oliver back.
"Time Turner speaking. How may I help you?" I smile to myself.
"Time what? What?" Oliver asks on the other end.
"I'll explain sometime later. What do you need?" I ask, wanting him to get to the point.
"Someone on my list is in Central-" Oliver starts, but I cut him off.
"Oliver... What have I told you about me doing your dirty work?"
"Listen, I know. If I were to do it myself it would take close to ten hours. Please. I'll walk you through it. You've done it before. Remember Charles Johnson? You took him-"
"Yes. I remember." I say. Once, before the particle accelerator explosion, I helped the vigilante take down a guy in Central City. It was an easy one, simple to do. I never killed the man either. I don't kill. I just had to help Oliver, and capture this guy for him. He actually was on the way to Central City when I captured the man.
"I'm not asking you to kill anybody. Leave that to me. The mans name is Harrison Lee. Just knock him out, put him in containment, then I'll come and get him. Please?" He asks.
"Okay, okay. Fine, Oliver. You owe me big time." I sigh.
"What are friends for?" He jokes, before I hang up. I honestly don't know what friends are for.
