In your eyes I see the world
And all that I hope
And strive to be
I see your happiness and your joy
But in your eyes I have also seen pain
And sadness and despair
I have watched your eyes cry
With tears rolling down your cheeks
But now your eyes don't cry
This time my eyes fill with tears
For you are lost to the world
Never to return
It is a distant memory
But I still see
The pain and suffering
As you left me
