Outside my window
I see the world
I see it frozen in time
I am like the world outside my window
My heart is frozen in time
A time when spring began
A time when there was no sadness
When there was no pain
My heart is like this world
It is alive deep down inside
But all you can see
Is a shell of what used to be
One day it will be spring again
But that time is not soon
The winter has just begun
And it feels like it will last
For eternity
