Riley Matthews slowly walked back into the waiting room with two cups of coffee in her hands. She walked to Lucas standing in front of him handing him a cup.

"I'm sorry I just had to get away to think about things." She said sitting beside him
"Yeah I've been doing some thinking too." He said sipping on his coffee
"So what where you thinking about." She asked

"You and Maya." He said
"That's funny I was thinking about you and Maya and my...boyfriend." She said
"And." He asked
"And how he just called me to tell me his math team won their round and are going to finals and he will be away for another month." She sighed

"And you?" She asked
"How I knew I liked Maya from the moment I met her but you your so much different and when I kiss you it's different but a good different but I like Maya a lot and I'm here for Maya and I don't think I have feeling for you in that way I think it's more like best friend kinda like them an actual like..like you know?" He asked

"Yeah same because I love my boyfriend and I would never want to hurt Maya because she really likes you a lot." She smiled at him
"The doctor said she could be in that coma forever." Lucas added

"I know and that scares the hell out of me." Riley sighed
"Can I say something weird?" He asked laughing a little
"Yeah." She laughed
"If Maya never wakes up and you somehow happen to break it off with your super lucky boyfriend would you maybe wanna go out like on an actual date?" He asked

"It would be and honor." She smiled
"And you know what?" She added
"What?" He asked
"My boyfriends away for the next month and your girlfriend is in a coma and I think we could both use a little comfort right now." She said

"Um yeah I guess so?" He questioned
"Let's be make out buddies you know just until Farkle gets back then we never have to tell anyone." She offered
"Yeah ok sure." He laughed
"Yeah but only if we need it. You know comforting." Riley pointed out

They say in silence for a moment until Lucas said,"wanna go make out?"
"Hell yes." She said as they ran off to an empty janitors closet little did they know what was to come
