First Meal

Your POV:

I woke up to the sound of banging coming from the cel to my right. (No not like that you perv!) I also heard screams of terror. I couldn't see what was going on there cause instead of bars there was a wall between my cel and the cel to my right.

"Don't worry you won't be treated like that kid." I jumped at the sudden voice then I relived it was Denki.

"Wh-What are they doing to him?" I asked even though Denki said I wouldn't go through that I was still scared.

"Trying to break him. He's most likely a blood bender or something like that" she signed, "My older sister was a blood-bender, her name was Akane." Denki smiled at the thought, "but then her and I were brought here and she was torch weed to death" her smile turned into a grow and a tear left her eyes.

"I'm sorry" I said while going to the other side of the cel, and leaned against while sitting down.

"It's fine you couldn't have done anything about it anyways" she said doing the same thing I did while laying her head against the bars. "So what's your story?" She asked tilting her head so she could look at me.

"Well I had a normal life. I had lots of friends and I had my mother and father. I never met a hothead relatives, I never knew why though. My mother was a non-bender and my father was an amazing earth-bender. He could bend earth, metal, lava, and even if he tried he could bend plants too." I said a smile gracing my lips, "Then yesterday was like any other day, but then my father was murdered and my mother was beat to death" I was at the verge of crying again.

"Please don't cry." Denki said looking at me with sad aqua eyes. "You'll make this place seem even worse." I nodded my head and whipped away my tears.

"What are they going to do to us?" I asked looking at her.

"Break us, experiment on us like caged animals. I have been here for a year now and so far they just gave me a bunch of shots that hurt like hell, beat me if I disobeyed, gave me scars mentally and physically, and worst of all night mares of my sister dying over and over again" now tears were flowing down her cheeks, but she whipped them away quickly.

"Can you show me your electric-bending" I asked to lighten up the mood. The nodded and made a ball of light appear in her hand. (The ball of lightning or whatever is the picture above^) "Wow" I said in awe at the ball of electricity.

"Now watch this" Denki said she through the ball at the middle of the ceiling and before it could hit it, it exploded and all was left of it were little sparkles that were falling from where the ball used to be. Denki looked over to me and saw my expression "Cool huh?" She asked. I just nodded my head still memorized by the sparkles that was left by the electric ball. Then all of a sudden our attention was turns to the door of Denki's cel. A man was standing at it.

"Hey kid! No bending or you'll get a beating ya hear?!" He yelled at Denki.

"Y-Yes sir" she replied with fear lacing her words. After Denki said that the man left with a scoff.

"I'm sorry" I said again.

Denki looked at me with a raised eyebrow, "For what?"

"For getting you in trouble" I said looking down in shame.

"No it's fine. He can't beat me unless I use my bending to try and escape" she said reassuring me.

"Why don't we use our bending to get out?" I asked looking back up at her.

"You think I haven't tried. Everyone has tried, but no matter how great of a bender you are you can't bend your way through the walls or the bars" she told me. I just nodded and silence went over both of us.

"Wait. Didn't you say your sister could blood-bend?" I asked looking at her.

"Yeah, why you ask?" She asked.

"But then why aren't you a water-bender too?" I asked. She shook her head.

"I was adopted. My real parents were non-benders, no one in my family was a bender except me. So they thought I was a freak or something; so they kicked me out onto the streets. I lived on the streets alone for about 7 month then I came across my 'sister', Akane. She took me in and we both survived together. Even though we weren't blood related we had a bond like sisters, and since we didn't have families we just considered each other family, and that's why we called each other sisters." She told me.

She's been through worse then I have. Why is the world so cruel? I asked my self.

"Then one day we got kidnapped by these idiots" she said motioning toward the guards, "and well you know the rest." I nodded my head.

Then we heard something coming for the entrance of my cel we both looked over and saw a man with a tray of food. He opened the cel door and placed the food down. "Get your food brat." Then he did the same with Denki. When I got to the tray of food I looked at it in disgust.

"Don't worry you'll get used to the food soon enough" The blue eyed girl must have seen my expression that I made when I saw the food cause she giggled a little at my reaction.

"How can you eat this?" I asked picking up a peace of bread and knocked it against the ground a few times. It made a sound like I was hitting two rocks together.

How could anyone eat this?!

"Get used to it cause your only getting a meal once a day and the food is always the same" Denki said while starting to eat. I looked back down at my food and gulped.

"Fuck it" and after I said those two words I forced the food down my throat. It taste like a (England's cooking) horse shit. Wait how would I know what that taste like? I just signed, and shoved the rest down.
