this day marks
the end
if not the beginning
of all things
established
all frightening
and i mean
how has it come
to an end
when i just started
to befriend
the core of what
i'm fearing
maybe
it's the gist
of what was
termed brisk
the chills
when you meet
the mist
and surely
there's the risk—
we all pine
for something
just when we're
so close
from fulfilling
