"Yeah. I'm just about to leave."

"Oh. All right. Then I'll let you go. Love you." I smiled.

"Love you, too." I hung up the phone and looked around. Car keys? Check. Wallet? Check. Guitar picks? Check. Guitar? Check. After going through the check list, I loaded my guitar into the car and left. When I arrived, there were only 3 other cars, one I instantly recognized as being Alec's. Walking into the building, I saw Tico sitting at his drumset, twirling his sticks around. Alec was sitting on his amp with his bass in his hands. David was still setting up his keyboards. "Where's Jon?" I asked as I got my guitar out to tune it.

"He's late." I raised an eyebrow.

"Late? Is he ever late?"

"No. Not usually. He got held up helping his parents with something."

"Oh. Okay." I got hooked up. "Wanna run through a few songs?"

"But ... we don't have a lead singer."

"We can just run through the instrumental. No big deal. Unless you guys need a lead singer." I taunted.

"Okay, hot shot. You're on." Tico counted us in and we ran through a few songs. Let me tell you: we were on FIRE. Jon walked in during the fourth song halfway through my guitar solo. After it was finished, we looked at him.

"All right. You're in."
