Rangiku had worked her magic on me. With an assortment of hair products and enough bobby pins to hold a bridge up, she had artfully arranged my hair. My bangs swept over my forehead and curled into folds of hair that tucked around its self into an delicately set up-do. She insisted that I required makeup to complete the look so I convinced her that less makeup really was more in my case. She seceded and kept the look natural.
In my bedroom, I leaned over my bed and grabbed the pair of silver flats I had bought and tapped them onto my feet. I pulled the tags off a grey overcoat, and walked back into the living room. Rangiku squealed from her seat on the couch as I shrugged the coat on.
"You are a vision!" She preened.
"Thanks." I opened the clutch in my hand, throwing a soul candy and some cash in it.
She bounced up off the couch and grabbed the crook of my elbow. She was dressed similarly to me, having bought the same overcoat. Her hair wasn't styled any differently than usual, but she still looked incredible.
Kensei came out of his bedroom and dipped into an elegant bow. "Rangiku you're looking lovely tonight." He turned to me, surprise written on his face. "Akira, I had no idea you were actually a girl." He caught the shoe I threw at him.
"Very funny Kensei but sadly we can't all have girlish figures like yours." I smirked.
He held his hand to his chest in mock humour, "I'll have you know that it's
difficult being this beautiful." He winked at Rangiku.I clicked my tongue and shook my head at him. "Okay then, moving along. Rangiku, shall we?"

Outside of the restaurant, Rangiku stopped me. I followed the direction she was looking. "Did you just hear that?" She asked.
I craned my neck to listen but heard nothing. "No, what's up?"
"I think there's a hollow nearby." She began to walk away.
"That's hardly a problem. I can sort that out." I reached into my clutch and pulled out my soul candy. She stayed my hand.
"Oh no you don't. I won't have you destroying my masterpiece; that hair is some of my best work! Why don't you go inside and grab our seats while I'll handle it?" She popped a soul candy into her mouth before I could react.
She drew her sword and disappeared. I threw my hands up in the air, "uh alright then. Well then Gigi" I turned to her gigai, "shall we go have dinner?"
"What about shopping?" She trilled.
"I think I've done enough of that for one day." I grabbed her hand and led her into the restaurant.

The hostess greeted us at the entrance. "Welcome! Do you have a reservation?" She asked politely.
"Yes I think it should be under Rangiku Matsumoto for six o'clock."
She pointed to the far wall where a chef was dicing up ingredients on a flat top behind the table. "You'll be at that table over there and your food will be prepared by chef Aoki, enjoy!" She bowed.
I made my way over to the table with Rangikus gigai in tow. The chef greeted me with a smile and passed me a plate with hot towels. I thanked him and grabbed one, rubbing my hands down. The interior of the building was warm and romantic. The walls were a deep red bordered with black wainscotting that covered the bottom half of the room. The floors were a dark ebony colour that brought out the deep crimson in the walls. In front of me the chef had begun to sort out ingredients on the flat top, flipping shrimp with ease and chopping their tails off. He used his spatula to toss one shrimp in the air and caught it in the pocket of his uniform. I clapped my hands in delight as he bowed gracefully. Rangiku had picked a really fun place, I thought.
