You surrender your heart,
I surrender every dream,
Every weapon you've got,
Every secret that I keep,
You can fight this all you want,
But tonight belongs to-

Gerard sat happily at the dining table. Happily, because, well, that was just Gerard's (literal) nature, being summer and all. He was the most optimistic person he knew.

He twirled his long blond hair in between his fingertips as he glanced around the table.

There were only three other chairs. Sat in two of those chairs was Pete, who was the Fall season, and Mikey, who was Spring. Yet to be there was Frank. He intimidated Gerard. He was always late. The kid would forever be stuck in his rebellious teenage days, even though he was millions of years old.

Mikey was nice. He was Gerard's favourite. He rarely ever spoke, and when he did it was to bicker with Pete. They were constantly fighting. No one knew what happened, and the pair was dead set on keeping it that way.

Pete was a grump, to put it simply. Everything he said was an insult, either towards himself or the other three seasons.

He seemed to not enjoy anything, well, besides drugs.

No one blamed Pete for his habit. No one tried to stop him either. He seemed not to care, so they didn't either. Besides, they were all too stuck in their own world of problems to deal with Pete's. Literal worlds. You see, the world was divided into four different seasons, one whole section of the world was eternal winter, another spring, an- well, you get my point.

Frank's section, winter, was cast in an eerie darkness. They were mean people; all of them involved in drug trafficking and crimes. The most crimes in the world came from the winter section.

Fall was more or less the same as winter: rude people that didn't bother you unless you bothered them, too caught up in the drugs that their world seemed to be run with. Fall got their supply from winter, which made them allies.

Springs people were much like Mikey, nice enough but not anyone you'd willingly be friends with. Spring was somewhat tame, their calm nature making the summer people befriend them quickly.

Summer was a dream place in everyone's mind. It was beautiful with never ending sun and warmth and love. They all respected Gerard as their leader, and followed his command as he was fair and honest.

Finally, after long minutes of silence, and Gerard being stuck in his own thoughts, Frank strode into the dining room, radiating an aura of importance.

He didn't say a word as he sat down in his usual spot to the left of Gee. The difference between the two was astounding; while Frank wore dark clothing and had multiple piercings, Gerard had bright sun-blond hair, almost always wearing a flower crown with shorts and a pretty tank-top. Gerard always radiated positive vibes whereas Frank was constantly negative and serious, a frown permanently etched upon his face.

They finished their dinners in silence, like always, and then went to their own rooms, like always. Gerard wished everything wasn't "like always." He wished that all of the seasons could get along, so they could exist peacefully beside each other. But no, nothing could go the way Gee wanted it to, and the sounds of Pete and Mikey bickering from down the hall reminded him of that.
