2-

Would you destroy something beautiful in order to make it perfect?

Gee sought out Frank the next morning once he had awoken. He needed answers, and he needed them now. He wasn't sure what Frank meant. Obviously the officials weren't perfect people, but no one was perfect. He hadn't heard of them ever doing anything bad to anyone. What bad was there to do? There was only four seasons, and they'd all kept out of trouble- besides Frank.

The officials, or "Faceless" if you want to call them, weren't very fond of Frank. He didn't like to follow the area rules. He ruled his area his own way, which wasn't allowed. They wanted everything to be the way they said, so they gave out different sets of rules for each area, and they were expected to follow every one of the rules to make their place 'perfect'.

Gee continued searching for Frank, but was unable to find him anywhere. He didn't know there was so many places to look. He finally bumped into Frank in the hallway leading to their rooms.

"Frank!" He stopped him. "I need to speak to you."

"What's up, sweetheart?" He cocked an eyebrow.

"Can we-uhm, go somewhere?"

"Uh, sure." Frank said hesitantly, taking his arm and leading him to a destination unknown to Gerard. "What do you want?"

"Can we speak about what you said last night? I'm really confused." He said shyly, wringing his hands together.

"What do you want to know?"

"Wh-why do you think they're bad? They just want to help us. They care."

"You really think that, Gee? You think they care about us?" He huffed "There's hundreds, if not, thousands of more planets out there, with thousands of more people controlling them. We're only here to make sure no one misbehaves, and if Faceless doesn't like what we're doing, they'll stop us. We're not important, Gee. Why don't you see that? We could be replaced with a snap of their greedy fingers." Frank finished, angrily dragging his fingers through his black hair.

Gee stood there gaping at his words, before Frank muttered "we're here" and pushed open a door, revealing a room he's never seen before. He hasn't even been in this part of the building.

"Oh, so this is where you go all of the time!"

"What you mean?" He asked sharply.

"Oh- I just uh- you're always late to dinner, and I- uh, wondered where you go, y'know?"

"Oh, uh-" Frank said, scratching the back of his head in confusion. He didn't think anyone noticed his absence. He didn't know that anyone cared enough to think about him. "Thanks?"

"You're welcome, Frankie!" Gee said cutely, twirling his long hair between his fingers. He felt a need to impress Frank, he was just so scary and mean; he didn't like anybody. He wanted to change that. He wanted Frank to like him.

Frank rose an eyebrow at the nickname but didn't comment on it. He nodded his head and made his way over to the desk that sat in the back right corner of the room. Gee followed, plopping down on top of the desk in front of Frank.

"Anything else you need to know?"

"Hm," Gee wondered. He felt more than satisfied with what Frank had told him, but he didn't want to leave. He didn't want to go back to his room and be bored for hours on end with nothing to do. There wasn't ever anything to do.

"Why do they hate you so much?"

Frank cringed at the question, but relaxed back into his seat after a second, trying to play it cool. "I'm not what they wanted, I guess."

Gee frowned. How could Frankie say that about himself. "You're wanted. I want you."

"You want me, sweetheart?" He smirked suggestively.

Gee shrieked and jumped off the desk. "Not in that way."

Gee was too caught up in conversation to realize how cold he was. They weren't supposed to go near the other seasons or in their rooms as it would be an uncomfortable temperature. They were only meant to stay in their own season, or else they would fall seriously ill.

Gee ran his hands up and down his arms, trying to keep warm. He wasn't paying attention to what Frank was telling him.

"Hey? Gee? Oh gosh, I forgot you were summer!" He rushed from his seat to the thermostat, turning it up all the way. He saw him still standing there, shivering. He grabbed the one blanket he kept and wrapped it around him. He didn't use the blanket, as he was meant for coldness and not warmth.

"Thank you, I really appreciate it." Gee said as he stood there with bright red cheeks and a red nose from the cold. The room immediately started warming up, leaving Frank panting at the heat. He was made for freezing temperatures just as Gee was made for hot ones.

After a few minutes of dead silence; them both trying to either warm up or cool down, Frank decided to take his shirt off. The long sleeves were becoming too much for him in the intense heat.

Gee's eyes widened. Pretty pictures littered Frank's porcelain white skin. It was the most beautiful thing Gee had ever seen. Everything else in the world was so plain, so boring. Frank was anything but boring, and maybe that's why Gee was so attracted to him. He couldn't help but long for something new, something exciting to brighten up his dull life.
