1-

Pardon me for yelling, I'm telling you green gardens are not what's growing in my psyche, it's a different me

Gerard walked into Frank's room, badly wanting to slam the door into his perfectly painted black walls, but his nice demeanour stopping him from doing so. Instead, he just hastily opened it while grumbling under his breath.

"What do you want, Summer?" Frank sighed, getting up from behind his messy desk to greet his unwanted visitor.

"Don't pretend like you don't know!" Gerard exclaimed softly as he nervously played with the hem of his navy blue tank top.

"I don't know what you're trying to accusing me of, but whatever it is, I didn't do it" he seethed, easily letting his anger get the best of him.

"You know what you're doing." Gerard hesitantly replied, not looking up to meet his eyes. He was still very much intimidated by Frank; he didn't take shit from anybody. No one could walk over Frank like they could to Gerard. He would probably start crying soon. He didn't like people getting angry with him.

He knew confronting Frank was a bad idea. God, he just knew that this wasn't going to end well. Why did he do it? He didn't know if it was more of an excuse to speak to Frank or not wanting to get in trouble with the officials.

Frank didn't like Gerard questioning him. He shoved him against the wall, pinning his arms to each side of Gerard, and trapping him in. It was just Frank's anger pushing him to do these questionable things. He couldn't help what he did when he was angry; words just came spewing out of his mouth like hot lava. He didn't want to push Gerard, per se- the beautiful man was too nice to ever hurt- but Frank acted before he thought, which now ended with Gee crammed against the wall, shaking slightly in fear.

Gee raised his arm, laying it on the crook of Frank's elbow, trying to push him away slightly, "Y-you-"

"Hmm? I can't hear you." He said menacingly, smirking slightly. He knew that he scared Gerard. He wasn't very good at hiding his emotions, so Frank could easily use it against him. He pushed his hand off his arm, pinning his arms closer together so he couldn't move at all.

Gee realized what Frank was trying to do. He was trying to intimidate him so much that he'd forget what he was trying to say. He wasn't going to let it work.

"Well, while I was actually doing my job, I noticed that some of the Winter people were in my territory, selling t-those products to my people!" He spoke up with the most confidence he could find.

Frank was momentarily shocked by his small outburst, letting Gee easily slip from under his arm. Gerard quickly moved away from his position against the wall.

"I don't control who they sell their 'products' to." He made quotation marks with his fingers mockingly, "If there's demand in Summer for it, that's where they go! If you controlled your place better, we wouldn't be having this problem."

"How dare you say that about Summer! We've been rated number one by the officials for thousands of years now!"

"You've been up their ass for even longer! The only reason you're getting it is because you follow every single rule they lay out, all for the title of 'number one'. Say, what is a title compared to happiness, Gerard? Would you rather spend your infinite life here happy, or stuck obeying rules made billions of years ago by an old man who didn't even know what he was doing!?"

"D-don't say that." The momentary adrenaline stopped at that point.  He really didn't know what he expected Frank to say.

"You know I'm right, Gee. Think about it." Frank sighed, giving up on intimidating the poor kid. He was already too brainwashed into thinking that everything the officials said was true to even consider what he was saying.

All these lies the higher-ups were feeding the public was only to scare them into behaving exactly how they wanted. There was no truth to these words.

He sat down behind his desk once again, "is that all?"

     "U-h- I-"

Gerard was at a loss for words. He decided that he was done for that day. That confrontation had taken it all out of him. He slipped out of the room without another word, walking silently down the long white hallway back to his own room.

'Frank couldn't be right, could he?'

'No,' He decided, 'he's not right. But- what if-'

His brain felt like it was exploding. He wasn't used to thinking on his own; he let the officials do that for him. He decided to sleep for the rest of the day.
