March 5, 2012 | 10:45pm. I saw him with a girl today. Her name is Yuki. And she's way prettier than me.

"Shall I do her wardrobe and you can do the drawers and her desk?"

Itachi tore himself away from his thoughts as Hanako addressed him from in front of [Name]'s closet, standing with the door open. Next to her was the large container in which they would put all of [Name]'s clothes in.

Eyes slowly raking across the room, Itachi nodded numbly, and Hanako smiled at him.

"Alright." Compared to the rest of the house, [Name]'s room was a pigsty. Yet, seeing the mess in her room made more sense to Itachi than the eerie cleanliness of the rest of her home; her room was a more accurate personification of her mental state. Muddled, disorganised and disordered.

"Just fold the clothes and put them aside, we can throw them in the container after," said Hanako, already beginning to take down [Name]'s clothes that hung in the closet. "After that we can work on all the things on the wall and her bed."

Itachi merely nodded, and made his way to the drawer closest to him; [Name]'s bedside table. His gaze lingered on her lilac lamp on it, with little butterflies traced on the lamp shade. It was childish, yet reminded Itachi exactly of her.

The bedside table only had two drawers, so he figured it wouldn't take too long for him to clear out what was inside so he could move on to her drawers that actually had clothes in them.

Unplugging the lamp and wrapping the wire around its base, Itachi opened the top drawer. In it was an odd array of objects; from a small pencil case to a roll of sellotape, Itachi couldn't help but raise an eyebrow as he pulled the weird items out one by one. A few hair ties, a permanent marker and a pack of staples was all that the drawer wielded.

Bemused, Itachi moved on to the next drawer, which was more of a surprise for him.

In it, there were a stack of journals, all from the last few years that had progressed. Curious, Itachi took the top most journal, a plain blue hardcover diary with "2015" emblazoned on the top left corner in gold, and opened it to a random page in the middle.

I'm so sad.

Without a second more of hesitation, Itachi took all of the journals and set them aside. He would take them home, and he would read [Name]'s story. Right from the beginning.
