Why?

Joeys POV

We ran to the elevator and pressed the buttons to the right floor. After about 5 minutes in the elevator we finally reached our destination and ran to the room Nicole was in. When we got there no one was there. We ran to the lady on that floor and asked were the people that were in there went.

"Excuse me ma'am where are the people that were just in that room?'I asked pointing to the room

"The young lady went to the waiting room and the mom I'm guessing went into the autopsy room." She said

I thanked her and went to the waiting room and there sat a crying Nicole.

"Nicole its Joey"I said

"Hey how did you know I would be here?" She asked

"I had a hunch"I said trying to make her feel better and it worked she gave me a smile and embraced me in a hug

"Do you want to go home or stay for the result?" I asked Nicole

"I want to stay." She said

"Okay do you want us to stay with you?" Daniel asked

"Yes please"she said quietly

Daniels POV

We sat and waited until the doctor came out with the results

"I'm looking for Debbie's family" he said and we all stood up. Granted I'm not technically her family I still looked at her as a 2nd mother

"So what happened?" Joey asked

"Well follow me and I will tell you" the doctor said

We all walked with him until we got to a room. It was a white room but it wasn't a normal hospital room. It had a desk so it might have been his office

"Are you Joey Graceffa?" He asked Joey

"Yes I am" he answered his voice shaken

"Then you must be Nicole Graceffa?" He said pointing at Nicole

"Yes sir" she said her voice also shaken

"Well we have the results for your mother's autopsy and we know what killed her" he said

Joey moved closer to me because he was scared to know what killed his mother

"What h-h-happened?" Nicole asked

"Well we found that your mom had a lot of alcohol in her system and it had gotten mixed with a prescription drug and..." He stopped mid sentence

"A-a-a-and what?" Joey asked

"And when she mixed the alcohol with that drug it caused her to die because of the reaction it had. Not only that but she took to many of the pill and overdosed on that." He said while getting up to leave us alone

Joey and Nicole are crying so much right now and so am I.

"Oh my god Daniel. Why why why why. Why did this have to happen" he cried into my shoulder

"I don't know baby I'm so sorry." I said sobbing

After a few minutes if sitting there and crying out the tears we decided to get up and leave out of there. I took Nicole to her dad's and me and Joey we to my house

"Hey baby do you think we can go pack my things and move me in?" He asked

"Are you sure sweetie?" I asked to make sure that's what he wanted

"Yes I'll tell my dad he can have the house" he said and I drove to his house

"Yes of course" I said while grabbing his hand

Hey guys so sorry for the late update I've been trying to stay on schedule but I have also been trying to work on this book. So hope you like this chapter I almost cried while writing it😢. So I guess that's it thank you so much for all the love for this book. Bye✋
