"You're finally back!" Elisif smiled and got up to hug you. "Oh, I've missed you so much."

"You're the one who wanted me to go against the Wolf Queen alone." You reminded her. "I may be the Dragonborn but I'm still one person."

"That is true, but I wanted to see if you could protect-" She tried to say but was cut short when Falk cleared his throat to signal her to stop talking.

"No, Falk, I want to know what she was trying to say." You glared at him then looked softly at Elisif. You couldn't help it. She was so kind and beautiful. She took your heart the first time you saw her at the kingdom, but you couldn't say anything. Toryg was an enemy of yours and he did everything you hated and didn't want this kingdom to come to. This civil war was caused by him and his hatred for Talos. Most people here don't know that he was the one who didn't care for Talos, but that was because of Elisif. She was a true believer at heart, but around others, she had to pretend that she was against him. At one point she had you bring an offering to Talos for her late husband but it was more so for her than Toryg.

Elisif didn't say a word, but looked down and shook her head instead. "Elisif," You said slowly, but she kept shaking her head. "Then what?" She looked to Falk for help but he knew better than to go against you. "Then I'll be taking my leave then." You say then start to walk away.

"To protect the kingdom!" Elisif yells at you and you stopped before taking the first step down the staircase. You turn around to see Elisif casting her eyes down.

"Now why would you need me to-" As you start talking, Elisif takes out an amulet of Mara she had been wearing. It was dead silent in the room. You stared at Elisif confused until you realized what she meant. "You were going to- you want me to-" You couldn't speak. She wanted you as her next spouse. "I don't- I mean- why?"

"I think it would be best if we talked alone," Elisif replied and you nodded. She got up from her throne and lead you to the courtyard behind the castle. "I wanted a spouse that could take care of Solitude just in case I died. You took down the Wolf Queen and single-handedly took down Ulfric and his Stormcloaks. Any woman or man would be lucky to have you and, well, I want to be that lucky woman to have you."

This woman, no, this queen right in front of you was proposing to you. She wanted you to be hers. Another thought crossed your mind that made you think twice about this. "Didn't you just say you wanted me only so I could protect Solitude? Elisif, you don't have to marry me in order to do that. You could sign a royal decree or something. You don't want to marry me. I've done some things in my life that would scare people if they knew."

"I know you're in the Thieves Guild and that you're an assassin. I had Erikur tell me and it doesn't scare me. I'm in love with you, (y/n). And if you don't want me, I understand." This was weird. She knew almost everything that you had been trying to keep secret. You knew Erikur wouldn't snitch on you. She did something to him. Would she do that to you?

"One last question: How did you get Erikur to tell you?"

"He said it in his sleep."

"You watch him sleep?"

"No, but Sybille does."

"I'll marry you." You say and time freezes for minutes until she hugs you.

"We're gonna have a wedding!" Sheogorath yells while running in front of both of you.

(Time Skip)

Well, today was the day and there were Thalmor everywhere. One thing Elisif didn't know was the one thing you hid from everyone and that was you believed in Talos. You wore your amulet proudly and today you felt as if you were the only one out. Some people were here that you knew. You saw Babette, Nazir, Brynjolf, Vex, Delvin, Alea, Farkas, and Vilkas. Cicero wasn't invited due to talking about killing all the time. Imagine how the people would have felt hearing him sing about a horker being someone's wife.

"Do you take Elisif to be your wife?" The priest of Mara asks and your feet start to feel cold. You look around at everyone in the crowd as they await your response. Could you marry someone you couldn't tell everything to? You always knew you had to marry someone you could trust but could you truly trust her with this? It was forbidden in Solitude to believe in Talos but here you were, wearing his amulet.

"I don't think I can," You whisper and look at Elisif. "I'm sorry but I've been keeping something from you and from everyone else." You pause for your dramatic reveal. "I've always followed every god that there was, including Talos. I have seen each and every one of them and I have spoken to them as well." You look at some of the Thalmor leaders. "I was the one who infiltrated your party and rescued all those people that you tortured."

"See, High Queen Elisif, (y/n) is not a fair fit for you." One Thalmor leader commented. You look back at Elisif.

"They even had plans to take the throne away from you when you least expected it." In a split second, there was a dagger against your throat. "Yeah, this day would have been the perfect day to do it." You sigh and nod at Nazim who looks into the shadows.

You stomp on the person's foot and they release you. But when they try to grab you again, an arrow went through their chest and they fell to the ground. You look at your guilds in the room. They were outraged that one of the Thalmor tried to kill you. "Kill them." You commanded and in one minute, every Thalmor in the room was either killed or on their knees begging to not be killed. You turn back to Elisif. "Now when you said you weren't afraid of me, did you really mean it? Be careful of how you answer. I will not hesitate to leave my own wedding."

Her face was full of fear. You had scared her, but not completely. "I am scared, but I knew what I was dealing with. I still want to marry you, all of you." She takes a deep breath in to calm herself. "Even when you weren't asked, you saved me and this kingdom. I knew how terrible these people were. But when I agreed to let them help take care of the cities, they took control over almost everything."

"I'm not understanding."

"I will marry you." She says the same way you did months ago.

"Then," You start and hold her hands, "I do." You finish and the priest looks at you confused.

"This definitely isn't a holy day nor is this a holy temple anymore but I now pronounce you husband and wife." He immediately closes his book and leaves without giving you the rings.

"Does this make me High Royalty?" You ask and Sheogorath yells from his seat,

"A highly royal pain in the ass!" Elisif gives you a confused look and you shrug.

"Well, it is true and you're the one who married me."

"And I'm a lucky woman for doing so." She smiles and kisses you.
