After the embarrassing train trip we took a bus to the stop were we only needed to walk 2 miles to find the others. What we did not know was how bad the situation would turn out to be. The place Chiron said we would find the others were fully destroyed. Fields of dust and ashes appeared in front of us. The only thing that separated them from the world were a huge crack in the earth. "Are we supposed to go in there? In that crack?" Clarisse asked. "Thats what he said" Jason respond. I couldn't help but to feel bad that Jason had to dead with Clarisse instead of me. Its like we can't speak with each other, especially when she's a part of it. The part of it. "lets go then" I start to walk but the earth starts to shake. Somethings wrong, very wrong. "Whats that?!" Jason screams in the loud blurry sounds. "I don't know!" I respond but I don't think he heard me. A whistle of different sounds echoed through the crack. They were connected... Animal sounds, human sounds, ghost sounds al shaped an overall laughter that seemed to be speaking to us. "You fools! Coming for your friends? Hahahaah!" The voice was disgusting and extremely terrifying. Then the ground below us started to open up. A new crack created below our feet. "Run!" Clarisse screamed and runned like never before. But the crack was too fast. The first one to fall down was me. An endless falling too alike the fall to tartarus began to shape. The only thing ringing in my ears was the scream, the unstopping scream. Seconds fell like hours, minutes felt like days. Then someone grabbed me by the waist. "Percy! We almost lost you there!" It was Jason. He flew me and Clarisse to the nearest wall were we could stand on a sticky rock. "Thanks man, that was horrible" I couldn't stop shaking, al these painful memories were passing by. Jason put a hand on my shoulder, it felt so calming. "Whatever it is you're experiencing, it'll be over. Trust me" the words seemed to make sense, or did they make sense just because they came from Jason? I don't know. "We need to find them, whatever they're experiencing down there..." Clarisse couldn't speak. "Whos down there anyway?" Jason asked but Clarisse didn't answer. "Lets go find out then" I said and started to climb down the walls.
