"Okay, listen up," My teacher stood in front of the room, next to her, a very tall, handsome boy. "We have a new student Kang Younghyun, please him give a warm welcome," Students greeted him and I quietly clapped my fingers together. "Would you like to tell us a few things about yourself?"

The boy named Younghyun grinned. "Alright, my name is Younghyun, um, I play bass in a band some friends and I put together-"

If they weren't already captivated by his looks and strong jawline, the girls were definitely in love now.

"Wow, a band?" I looked around and saw the girls with googly eyes, some boys rolling their eyes. Younghyun scanned his eyes across the room until his eyes landed on mine. He gave me a small smile. I felt nothing, but gave him a small smile in return, just to be nice.

"Okay, now why don't you go have a set next to Giyoung," My teacher pointed to a girl on the other side of the room. Giyoung was a shy, quiet little thing. When she saw him walking towards her, her face turned red and she pushed her glasses up.

"Wha, Giyoung is so lucky!" Many envious girls whispered as he sat down.

Throughout the lesson, I could barely concentrate because of everyone trying to talk to that Youngbun or whatever. Even the guys were all over him!

"I'm trying to start a band too, can you give me some tips?"

"How do you dress so well?"

His seat was in the same row as me, so he kept looking over. The first few times, I would look back, then look away, thinking nothing of it. But the last few times, I didn't bother looking back. Why was he always looking at me? There are plenty of people around him to talk to. After class, he was already getting invited to parties and being asked to hang out. About five people were crowded around him as he was trying to leave. He was trying to laugh it off and go, but they wouldn't let him through. Me, being the nice person I am, walked over there to help.

"The poor boy is trying to leave, get out of his face," I said, slinging my backpack around my shoulder. I turned around to leave the classroom and felt someone walking beside me. Without bothering to look, I kept walking.

"Thanks," I turned my head and saw Youngbun or whatever smiling down at me.

"For what?"

"For helping me,"

"Mm, no problem," I turned my head forward and kept walking. I only had that one class with him, but I see him everywhere.

A month he's been here, and there's crowds of people always following him around. If I see him from afar, he's engaged in conversation with whoever is around him, but as soon as he sees me, he smiles sweetly and waves. I just purse my lips and nod my head at him and go about my business. but this time, he got up and came over to me while I was in the lunch line.

"Hey, (y/n)," He said.

"Hey Youngbun- Hyun! Younghyun," I said.

He laughed. "Youngbun? I kind of like the sound of that, it's funny," He said.

I forced a chuckle. "So, what do you want?" I asked.

"Are you free tomorrow night?" He asked. My heart started pounding. Is he going to ask me out? He probably has a date every weekend. I don't want to be caught up with a popular player.

"As a matter of fact, no, I'm busy," I said.

He smirked. "Oh yeah? Doing what?"

I bit my lip and looked around. "You know, homework," I wanted to jump out the window.

He laughed. "Really?"

I gave him a look. "Yes, really," I grabbed my tray and made my way to my table, him following.

"Well why don't you ditch your homework and go on a date with me?" He asked, putting quotation marks around homework.

"Why me? Why not Nayeon? Or Irene? Or any other girl who's all over you?"

He stepped in front of me. "So you won't go out with me because you're intimidated girls I don't even like, okay, I see now,"

"What? I'm not intimidated," I said, trying to step around him.

"Then why would you bring them up?" He asked, stepping in front of me again.

"Because they're always around you so I assumed you liked them and wondered why you were asking me out," I asked.

"Well I don't like them, they just keep following me around. I like you (y/n). I wouldn't be caught dead dating one of them,"

"Why not?"

"Because they talk bad about you," He said sincerely. "Whenever they see you they always make mean comments. I told them to stop and they were all like," He put on his girl voice, "Do you like her or something?" He changed his voice back, "And I said yeah, I do. They gave me these looks that made me feel uneasy. So I need to date you now so I can protect you," He said, looking into my eyes.

"Protect me from a mess you created. You could've just let them talk bad about me, I don't really care,"

"Why would I sit back and let them say mean things about you?" I just looked at him. "I already confessed, what more do you want me to say to get you to agree to go out with me?" He gasped like he just got an idea then got on his knees. "(Y/n), I beg you, will you please go out with me?" He yelled. Everyone in the cafeteria looked at us. I put a hand to the side of my face as a shield.

"Younghyun, get up," I whispered.

"No! Not until you agree to go out-"

"Fine! Youngbun, I'll go out with you,"

He smiled and stood up. "Alright, I'll pick you up at 6," He winked.
