Good evening, hello,

It's good to be back,

The stress of the week is over and done.

Broken lorry,

Welsh border

Four hours on the road, not one.

A five-course dinner, on a Thursday night,

Buoyed by Pimms, Chardonnay and Merlot wine

Eaten great food but my stomach is tight

An evening's walk before bedtime.

Good morning my lovely Debby,

My inscrutable Lancashire hotpot.

Like Etna's intense molten lava core,

You are incredibly hot.

Lay your head upon my pillow,

I'll hold you close until you sleep.

In your dreams fantasies awake

In my arms your heart I'll keep.

Early to bed and early to rise

So sow the seeds of our demise.

Slowly in bed until the sunrise

Preparing the day, gentle exercise.

The middle of the week
