I want to skip the rest of that night. It wasn't good, but mum told me to forget. And I'm going to because I don't want to remember. So we return the next day.
I'm dreading this too. Kitty - I expect - will be devastated. No one else will want to talk about it in case of upsetting her. But it will be OK.

I have to keep reminding myself. I can tell today will be lucky, I just sense it. I will ask her on the bus, then not everyone will hear. And it will be fine the rest of the day.
