A/N: a but of a vague definition but a lot of the chapters following this one will be about Fanfiction. Everything from the most basic, basic definitions to different types of Fanfiction to Fanfiction terms.
Fanfiction/ Fanfic
1) (Clean Version) Fiction written by fans for other fans about the fandoms that they like. Usually the author takes the characters and/or the setting of the fandom and writes a new or continueing plot. Sometimes they write crossovers.
2) (what a lot of people write and I read) People taking characters from a series that they ship and writing a piece of fiction about them.
There are different levels of Fanfiction websites, my favorite for interacting with other people is Wattpad, my favorite quality and length wise would have to be Fanfiction.net or Ao3.
