Chapter 38

So, I haven't talked to my parents yet, but I still should update like a good Senpai. Like, my mom never brought it up, so I'm gonna go ahead and think it' solar :3

I woke up back in my room. Well, the room in the  Young Justice HQ. "(Y/N)!"  Robin and Meg'han burst into the room, grinning mischievously and startling me out of my skin. "So, what'd you and Wally do last night?" Robin teased.

"Yeah! Did you go far?" Meg'han smirked.

"No!" I cried, realizing what they meant and burying my face in my hands. "Dude, no way. Not until he proposes."

Robin giggled. "Well, guess speedster is gonna have to buy a ring pretty soon." He teased.

I sighed, shaking my head, and got up. I walked into the kitchen and leaned against the counter, grabbing a cup of water. I sipped at the water, waiting for something. I didn't know what, just something.

"Kid Flash," and then the computer read off some number. I perked up and smiled, feeling butterflies flutter inside my belly. I wanted to tell my favorite person in the world good morning.

I stepped out of the kitchen and was instantly put off by Wally's scowl. He stormed into the kitchen and grabbed a granola bar out of the cupboard and ripped it apart with his teeth, his eyes flashing with fury.

"Hey, Wally." I said softly. He nodded to me without a word. "What's wrong?" I reached out to hug him but he jerked away.

"Don't touch me." He growled, stalking off.

I stared after him. "West! You get back here! You can't just brush me off and except me to be okay with it!" I started walking after him.

"Yeah, well, you need to stop hanging on me like a lifeline!" He snarled,me heeling around. His emerald eyes were blazing with green fury. His anger burned in my stomach, making me sick with nervousness.

"But-- Wally, I love you. You need to talk to me." I struggled to stay calm. "Please."

Wally curled and curled his fists, hissing under his breath. "I don't need to explain anything to you. You need to get out." Every word was a little knife stabbing into my heart. "Go back to your dad. See how your family is doing, because that should be important, not hanging out here and trying to play hero."

Hot tears slowly came to my eyes but I nodded, swallowing hard. "Fine then." And I stormed out.
