Daisies (Heavy x Reader)

Early morning sunlight streamed through the blinds that covered Heavy's window, the golden hue accompanied by a soft hum from the field outside. It shook Heavy from his slumber like a gentle hand upon his cheek, no doubt brushing the sleepiness from his body. It was always at this time when her soft tune would awake the gentle giant, and it lured him to her like a mouse to the piper.

So once again he rose from his bed and got dressed, boot clad feet tromping down the hallway until he reaches the outside door. Just like always, he headed outside and towards the young (h/c) haired girl, smile breaking across his face. Her (e/c) eyes shine brightly like always as she waved to him, white dress blowing in the cool summer breeze. Heavy waved back, unable to hold back his happiness as he headed over to the small figure.

"Heavy! You came again!" She said with a merry laugh as she looked up at him.

"Of course, why would Heavy not?" He replied as he offered her his large hand like usual. At his reply, she shrugged and took his hand as they headed deeper into the field. "Heavy still do not get why leetle girl gets up this early." He mumbled, just loud enough for (Y/n) to hear.

(Y/n)'s P.O.V

When you heard that, you couldn't help but let out a soft laugh, leaning your head against Heavy's shoulder as you two walked. Why was a question you were asked often, but today you were finally going to show someone why. It was a secret you were pretty sure only you knew about, and it was probably a good thing. Knowing the men, they'd probably ruin everything that you had done there for the past two years you've known about it.

Taking a glance up at him, you saw the slightly pink blush that dusted his cheeks as he started to get flustered from so mush contact. He was just so cute!! This made you grin and nuzzle your cheek against his arm, darkening the blush on his face as you two continued to walk. Once seeing this you couldn't help but let out a few giggles, making the gentle giant playfully glare down at you. Raising your free hand in mock surrender, you shot him another grin before continuing to tug him along.

After climbing another gently sloping hill, a small forest came into view, and you could see this piqued Heavy's curiosity. He scratched his chin and looked at the thick, flourishing trees and undergrowth.

"Heavy did not know this was here.." He mumbled and looked down at you for an explanation. At his glance you just shrugged and looked at the sun that was peeking over the horizon.

"I just found this place a couple years ago.. But c'mon, it's almost time! Imma show you why I come out here!" You chimed with a grin and started tugging him along towards the tree line. Not expecting the sudden tug, he stumbled forward, letting out a noise of surprise as he tried to keep up. This just made you laugh as you ran down the hill towards the forest.

Once you reached it, your pace barely slowed, for you knew this forest by heart. Heavy.. Not so much. As you two ran, he was stumbling slightly, and at one point hit his forehead on a branch. He was rubbing the sore spot when he finally noticed you had slowed at the edge of a clearing, eyes gleaming with excitement.

"Wait for it.." You mumbled and watched the still shadow enveloped grove.

"Uh.."

"Just wait!" You whispered yelled and pointed to the clearing. So Heavy finally listened and just waited, gripping your hand a little tighter.

As the sun rose higher in the sky, the golden tendrils of light slowly pooled into the clearing. As it did, stems of flowers, previously unseen, started to rise towards the sun. The leaves, some broad, some thin, burst free from the support, greedily soaking up more sunlight. This made the flowers rise faster, until finally... They bloomed. They bloomed into a multitude of different beautiful flowers of all shapes and sizes. The rainbow of colours spread to the very edge of the open trees, petals almost touching your ankles. And in the middle were the most simple, but in your opinion, the most beautiful flower. Daisies.

Looking up for Heavy's reaction, you saw his mouth was wide open, eyes wide. This made you laugh as you started pulling him through the clearing towards the middle. As if having minds of their own, the flowers parted for them, as to not get crushed. Once you both got to the middle, your hand left his so you could bend down and pick a few daisies, making a tiny bouquet.

"See? This is why I come here every morning so early, to see the flowers bloom. The two years I've known about that I've brought more flowers, watered and cared for it during droughts, and just been here to talk to them. They seem to like that." You told him and smiled up at him softly.

"Wow.. This.. Amazing.." Heavy said and looked at you. Seeing your contentment and happiness, it made you look even more beautiful that usual, and he couldn't help but blush again. "Could.. Could we come here again..?" He asked shyly and fidgeted a bit.
Laughing softly at his reaction, you nodded and motioned from him to lean down. Obeying, he leaned down so his face was level with yours. His face got redder at the closeness, lips only a few inches from yours, noses almost touching. He started to sweat, looking into your large (e/c) eyes. This made you laugh again as you looked down at the flowers, then back at him.

Taking a daisy, you placed it behind his ear, then leaned up and gave him a soft kiss on the lips. This made him go even more red if possible as his eyes widened and he started to stammer shyly.

"Yeah.. I'd love to come back with you.." You whispered and smiled at him softly, then offered him your hand to take. The large man finally smiled and took your hand, nodding as you both started to head back.

~A few hours later~

Sniper and Scout looked at Heavy as he walked down the halls, daisy still tucked neatly behind his ear and a big grin on his face.

"Nothing changed, pay up." Sniper said and held out his hand to Scout, wiggling his fingers. The younger male grumbled under his breath and forked over ten bucks.

"Yeah yeah, he's in love. I'm never betting with you again."
