Jace rolled his eyes for what felt like the hundredth time. His nails tapping against the cool surface of his locker. He had been listening to Lydia complain for what felt like years. And why was his best friend complaining? Because the boy that Jace currently had his eyes on had put Lydia's boyfriend in the hospital. He hadn't seen what happened but from what he had heard, Scott had shoulder rammed Jackson and had separated his shoulder. Jace took the lollipop from his mouth. "Oh, please, knowing Jackson, he's in the hospital because it was his own fault."

Lydia did not like what had just come out of the his mouth. "Right. It's Jacksons fault that your boyfriend separated his shoulder. And now can't play the lacrosse game and we're gonna lose. I don't date losers."

"First of all—" Jace said, holding up one of his fingers, "he's not my boyfriend. Yet." He said with a coy smile before holding up his second finger. "And second just because Jackson is in the hospital doesn't mean we're gonna lose. I mean have you seen Scott play. I'm pretty sure he could be the only one on the team and still win the game."

"You better hope so." Lydia nearly snapped, the gears in her head turning and fumes nearly making there way out of the strawberry blondes ears. "Because if the lacrosse team loses, then Jackson and Scott are losers and we don't date losers."

Jace rolled his eyes, his lips turning into a thin line. "Have I ever told you what a kind and passionate soul you have." He said sarcastically. He sighed and grabbed his best friends hands, turning her until they were facing each other. "Don't worry your pretty little head off. Everything will be fine." He was used to Lydia treating everything like a life or death situation by now.

Lydia flipped her curly hair over her shoulders. "Right. Onto a better note, you, me and Jackson are going to be watching the notebook sometime this week."

Jace closed his locker and started a slow walking pace next his her best friend. "Lydia, I love you and I love watching the notebook with you but I will not be third wheeling with you and Jackson again. It always ends up with you two making out and me finishing the movie by myself. So, I'm gonna have to decline the offer."

Lydia linked her arm with the Montgomery and laughed, looking at him with one perfectly shaped eyebrow raised. "You say that like you have a choice sweatie. I'll message when I've decided what night it will be."

"It was worth a try." Jace said, he already had a feeling that Lydia wasn't gonna give him a choice in the matter. He doesn't even know why he tries to get out of it anymore. It always ends up with him joining along with the couple that couldn't keep their hands to themselves. His eyes caught sight of a figure walking down the hall, he recognized the shaggy hair and he smiled. "I'll see you in class." He said towards Lydia, his eyes never straying away from Scott's figure.
