I looked around in the weed
Watched the ruin and weeped
My flashlight wasn't enough
To consolidate my inner self.
What did I do to suffer such loss?
Why did god abandon me and made my life French toss?
Things weren't going as expected
And I felt quite dejected.
Dust embraced
What used to be my taste.
Broken hearts and
Shattered dreams in
Lost faith and
Silent screams.
In the middle of this deadly forest
Is it okay to be alone?
But now I've discovered
That I don't care anymore.
The iron bars reminded me of the playful memories
The hide and seek of life's sweet mysteries
My family, friends all lost.........never to be found
Only remained the hooting of the hounds.Ishita Singh
