Eyes
Dried up with tears
Faith
Crumbled under fears
Standing on the terrace
Perplexed , wondering
Whether it's you who I see
Or just an illusion of destiny.Fingers crossed testing my fate
Going through a never ending wait
I hear those footsteps
A familiar smell
Even from a thousand miles,
I could tell. Two hearts beating fast
As faces exchange glances
I wait for you
You wait for me
I don't know how long it will last. Then you turn away
Like an ordinary stranger, unmoved
I waited for an explanation
But you didn't even look.
Is that how it's supposed to end?
I really doubt.
Maybe there was something I couldn't see
Behind your indifferent pout.Ishita Singh
