"Hey can you break the scale yet?"
"Why does Katie hang out with you?"
"Ikr! They're complete opposites!"
"You could do some sit ups."
"She probably can't even get herself off the ground once she gets down there."
All of my bullies. Their words stick in my brain. I can't shake them out. I'm caught up with them.
"Sadie ignore them." Owen Stegall sits down next to me.
"What they say is true!"
"No. It's not."
I feel tears springing in my eyes.
"How would you know? Isn't Izzy missing you yet?"
Next thing I know, Owens lips are pressed against mine. And I'm enjoying it. It's like a million tiny fireworks are going off. My heart beat quickly races. I wonder if he feels the same? No, he has Izzy.
"What was that for?"
"I felt like it was right."
"Oh I am so telling Izzy." I see Courtney Perkins standing with Zoey Jackson.
Oh shit. Me and Owen are dead meat.
